I Sangeeta Oberoi holding ICICI Bank Credit Card no.4477468413662003 and on 24.03.08 I did an online shopping at Indiatimes Shopping and made transaction of Rs.27960 with the offer of paying the amount in "Pay in 6 easy installments with ICICI BANK Credit Card [Note: Paymode charges extra]" where no other charges, no extra charges, no interest, no processing fee was mentioned and while making the payment also "Paymode charges" were charged Rs. 0.00 and total amount was charged inclusive of Paymode charges was Rs.27960. This amount was paid after viewing the complete statement as flashed on screen while confirming and acknowledgeing the payment made.


Now when I received current month's statement, it is noticed that, I am charged PROCESSING FEE of Rs. 1677/- and Service Tax Rs. 172/- on the said transaction. Whereas I have already mentioned that while making the same transaction, it was not mentioned anywhere in the Terms and Condition that I will be charged any processing fee/ hidden charges.

This has been charged without informing me and without my consent which is a clear fraud and unfair trade practice and breach of trust.

For the same when I talked to call centre executive Mr.Sriniwas on 20.04.09 at 09.45 hrs, he also didn't accept it and forced me to pay the processing fee without justifying it for which I now find myself cheated and being penalized due to purchase made by credit card. In reply to my mail ICICI bank again denied the fact and lied that Processing fee is mentioned in payment gateway Whereas the fact is that while making the payment at payment gateway nowhere is mentioned about Processing fee and neither the merchant informed, or mentioned, or demanded the conversion of EMI will attract any processing fee as it is o% EMi conversion and only the [Note: Paymode charges extra'] were mentioned in the payment gateway and that also was charged Rs.0.00 which is evident from the order reciept as proof.



It is my hard earned money, which I can't afford to loose and take it as punishment. Now, I deny paying as this was not mentioned in the terms and conditions which I read thouroghly before making the transcation.


Therefore, I request you to help me in reverting the processing fee levied on me from bank. I again strongly condem and deny to pay the unfair processing fee levied on me and ready to fight and protect my rights at any level, and look forward support from you.
