The Tamil Nadu-based Karur Vysya Bank Ltd (KVB) Saturday announced Visa transactions in all its ATM counters.

There are more than 27 million Visa cardholders in India, said Gagan Maini, director (marketing south Asia) of Visa International, at the launch of the facility here.

"With this, KVB domestic customers, customers holding the Visa card from any Indian or foreign bank and foreigners with cards on a Visa platform will be able to access their cash from KVB ATMs," KVB chief P.T. Kuppuswamy said.

KVB was set up in 1916 by two brothers from Karur district of Tamil Nadu with a capital of just Rs.100,000.

The bank is present in 10 states with 231 branches and 156 ATMs.
