A World Bank team will visit Bihar Saturday to explore investment opportunities in development projects such as roads, health, education and power.

An official said the World Bank team would be headed by its India country director Michael Carter. The team will meet top officials of the state administration to discuss ongoing and future development projects.

"The World Bank has been keen to investment in basic infrastructure in Bihar for long," the official said.

The team, which is on a two-day visit, will meet senior officials in the primary education, health, nutrition, public health and urban development departments.

It will also Saturday attend a workshop to chalk out a development strategy for the state. The workshop is being jointly organised by the bank and the Planning Commission.
