    Default Complain against ICICI bank

    Dear Sir

    This is regarding the credit card of ICICI bank that I am using since Jan 09.

    In the month of December when my card was issued, I was called by ICICI Prudential for availing an Insurance policy with a principle amount of Rs.8335 (interest included). I was told on a telephonic conversation that this policy is being issued on the basis of credit card that I had not yet received. I was told that this principle amount will be blocked from my ICICI bank credit card (Future card). And this amount will be deducted in the form of an EMI of Rs.711/- per month for one year. This I agreed upon telephonically. Along with this I was told that I can avail a free-look period of 15 days from the date of receiving the policy papers, during which I can get it canceled. I received the policy papers on 28th of Dec, 08. But due to some unavoidable circumstances I had to get the policy canceled on 9th Jan, 09. ICICI prudential told me that the Policy principle amount (Rs.8335) cannot be transferred to my credit card but they will transfer the same amount in my saving bank account, but I was told that payment will be deducted in the form of EMI only from my ICICI credit card.
    Till this it was OK, but as I had received the total amount in my saving account so, I called up ICICI bank customer Service to ask whether I can pay the whole amount instead of EMI. On this I was told that this cannot be done I‘ve to pay in EMI only, which I had no problem with. I called up ICICI bank to know my card statement. I was shocked to see this amount being charged in one go. When I received my statement on 17th Feb, 09 this principle amount was charged in one go dated on 18th Jan 09 along with other purchase bills.
    I complained about this to ICICI thrice during 2nd half of January. These were 1 hr long conversations each. But every time I was told that they will check and arrange a call back, which they never did. And till now I am being charged interest on that amount even after paying back more that have of the total credit.

    1. ICICI bank is deficient in services.
    2. Customer care executives hang up and not competent enough to understand the language spoken, hence the situation.
    3. False promises are made.
    4. Customers are being fooled.

    Please help me in this mater. Looking forward for a helping hand.

    i am financial adviser in ICICI prudential since 3to 4 years. and on this behalf company opend my salary a/c in icici bank. banks rules that there is one demand draft free in a day. today when i went for made a demand draft bank employee said for charges.they behave me very rudely then i talked to manager. he was also not fair for me. so please tell me what shoud i do when i have my own salary a/c before this they never said for charges. so plese look into this matter seriously and take the quick action against bank employee mr diwas. mr diwas very bad nature employee with rude nature he insluted me with other employee.
    please give me right way............

    Default Scary calls from ICICI collection agents regarding a payment due which I don’t own

    I had an ICICI credit card during the period “2003 Oct-to-2004 April” which I was forced to buy to get a corporate salary account. ICICI has also setup an auto debit from my salary account without my knowledge even though I did not check this option in the application form. I have stopped using the credit card and salary account on April 2004. I have cleared all the dues in the credit card also and also requested ICICI MG Road Bangalore branch to stop the auto debit feature. Next year I received a email receipt from ICICI customer care stating that “We have received payment of Rs. 1030 on your card no 4477 XXXX XXXX 2008 by Auto Debit to your Bank account ‘my icici a/c no’ on 31-JAN-06. I was not sure what it was for as I have not made any such payment and I don’t have any dues with bank. Then I started getting statements every month saying that auto debit returned and they levied Rs.250 auto debit return fee + Rs30 service charges each month. I have sent several emails to customer care requesting them about the source of the payment due and to at least stop the auto debit feature. I never got any response rather continuous threatening call from goons when the due reached 15,000+. When I explained the facts those good goons stopped calling me.
    I thought the ICICI goon era has ended as a result of the court verdicts against them in year 2008. Now I am employed outside India and, after 6 years I got a scary call from a person named Arun – introducing himself as a representative of a legal firm appointed by icici and he said that “His firm has temporally blocked my passport; if I don’t pay Rs.24214 within 24 hours they will be imposing an arrest warrant and permanent block on my passport; Also I will have to travel to India immediately to accept the court warrant; I may end up paying up to Rs.54000 to settle the case; They will also inform the authorities in the country where I am staying now;”. At first I was panicked and thought about making an immediate payment. Then after a second thought I have decided to fight back. I have all the electronic statements from icici from year 2004 as a proof. So, when he called me next time I told him that the conversation is being recorded and quizzed him about the scary things he told me in the previous call. Finally he gave up and said he is a collection agent appointed by icici and he was trying to inform about the consequences which I may face in future if ICICI transfer the case to a legal firm and then he disconnected of the call.
    Still I have this problem unresolved as in the bank books I owe them Rs.24000+ and I am distressed about the scary things he told. I would have been more comfortable if I am in India. Could anyone advice me how to proceed.

    Default Poor customer care service in ICICI Bank Bangalore

    This is regarding my request for mobile banking registration. I had given my request along with proper documents to CMH Road, Indira Nagar branch in Bangalore around 25th October 2011.I was told that my mobile number will be registered within one working day. I was shocked when I tried adding payee to my account for an online fund transfer, my number was not registered. I was shocked to know that even after one month my request was not completed.

    I went to the bank’s complaint desk yesterday, where they tracked my request and reprocessed it again. I had to do an emergency fund transfer to my husband’s account who was in Dubai. The Lady “Latha C” who sat at the complaint desk assured me that they can do the transfer from the bank thru RTGS/NEFT. They called me at 8.30 am in the morning today. I stood outside the bank for more than an hour and then I got to know that today is a holiday. I spoke to Miss “latha C” and the lady next to her. None of them informed me about today’s holiday. I assume the bank people knew about this holiday still she called me in the morning to do the fund transfer.

    My request was ignored for more than one month secondly they set wrong expectation by assuring me for my work and calling me on a holiday. My husband needs money in a foreign land on an urgent basis but all my work got delayed because of this irresponsible behaviour. I postponed all my work and went to the branch this morning but I played a fool’s part by TRUSTING THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE the second time.

    WHERE DO WE GO FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT COMPLAIN DESK PEOPLE? THIS IS HEIGHTS OF IGNORANCE.

    I can only say that the “TRUST FACTOR” has gone. I can never trust the customer care. They are non-responsive, misleading and irresponsible. I waste my morning behind this stupid incident. I am not able to digest that there is nobody who can take charge of these small things.
