Dear All,

With reference to the account opening form submitted to you we would like to
register the following complaints against your bank -

Facts

1. We had submitted two forms to you for opening two joint accounts at
the Noida Sec 18 Branch on 2nd Dec 09. The accounts were to be opened for
the following

A) Brig. R C Talwar VSM (Retd) & Mrs. Pamela Talwar. The CRR for this
account is 2810999.

B) Mr. Ranjit Talwar & Mrs. Rashmi Talwar. No CRR has been issued till
date.

2. The objective of opening the above accounts was to avail the Locker
Facility for all the above & Saving / Investment account for holders
mentioned in point B above. This was discussed with your agent Mr. Pratieek
Garg and we were assured that both the objectives will be fulfilled.

3. We were asked to give the required documents (PAN Card, Address
Proof & Photographs) and two cheques of Rs. 25000 and Rs. 20000. All the
required documents were submitted.

4. We were committed a date of 5th Dec 09 for completion of all
formalities and issuance of the account details & locker.

Complaints

1. Objection to the opening of account in the name of Brig. R C Talwar
VSM. We were astonished to know that the account cannot be opened for Brig.
R C Talwar as the name did not tally with one of the ID cards which gave his
Army rank as Col. Now, I am sure you will be aware that the personal from
the Armed Forces can use there Rank and Title without objection. Is it his
fault that he got promoted? Is it not an insult?

2. The PAN card submitted for Rashmi Talwar give her name as Rashmi
Jaitly - the name & signature used before marriage. As with any normal Hindu
family she has adopted the family name of her husband. Thus, her signature
is different from that on the PAN card. Your bank objected to this on the
evening of 3rd Dec 09. Basis the discussion with Prateek Garg a Marriage
Certificate and a Signature Verification from one of her existing accounts
was submitted on 4th Dec 09. The Bank from which the signature verification
was done is a Nationalized bank, the account in which was opened after here
marriage with the current signatures. And by the way the nationalized bank
did not put us trough the harassment & insult that you have put us trough.

3. After doing all that is mentioned in the above point we were
informed on 7th Dec 09 that another cheque of Rs. 10000 was required from
the account of Rashmi Talwar. This was to verify her signatures... Or was it
a bribe to your organization?


4. We were informed that the account of Brig. RC & Mrs. Talwar had been
opened with the CRR 2810999. However, the account of Ranjit & Rashmi Talwar
would not open till the required cheque mentioned in point 3 is not given.

5. Despite telling us that the account of Ranjit & Rashmi Talwar will
not open, the cheque of Rs. 20000 issued by Ranjit Talwar was cashed on 7th
Dec 09. For which nor CRR has been issued till date.


6. Keeping the above unprofessional behavior, lack of customer service,
delays, whimsical excuses, undue harassment and insults bestowed on us, we
requested your bank to stop all proceedings of account opening and return
all the documents and cheques. To this we were informed by you that the same
cannot be done as of now and will be possible only after six months. The
reason given was that this would cause issues for the bank. Why should we be
concerned with that?

We have no faith in your bank to provide us reasonable service in future,
therefore, I will once again request you to close / stop all proceedings on
account opening and return the documents and cheque submitted to you.

Please note that a copy of this complaint has also been sent to the office
of the Banking Ombudsman under whose jurisdiction your branch operates.
