Alahabad Bank had come to the company I am an employee of and offered
Personal loans. This bank are the lead bankers to the company I work
for. They came with their presentation for "personal loans" at a time
when they (Allahabad Bank) were after the company to pay back the
loans our company had taken from them; somewhere around 250 crores,
The Company was in the red.

When they came with their presentation we the employees were not being
paid our salaries on time. During and after the presentation we (the
employees) repeatedly kept on asking the bank representative if he was
not aware of the situation. How come he's ready to give a loan to us
when he knows that the survival of the compnay is at stake.

WE are not in favour of taking loans, due to the situation as we do
not want to fall into a debt trap. He repeatedly said that "these are
just temporary hiccups in the life of a company, this will pass".

on his verbal assurances we went ahead and availed their service of
Personal loans. They company we are employees of went from bad to
worse. Salaries were stopped. We worked for about 9 months without
salaries. The instalments to the bank stopped too. and the company
locked out.

Now we are faced with litigations from the bank. WE have lost all our
savings, are bankrupt and have no gainful employement.

Can they be taken to Consumer cour for false representation for
promotion of business and deceptive practices.
