    Dear Members,
    Greetings. This is Dr.P.Kamalavenkatesh from Aurangabad.
    I deposited one cheque (Rs.30,000, Canara Bank, Tamilnadu) for
    crediting into my ICICI bank account. I have deposited it personally
    in the branch office of ICICI Bank, Aurangabad in the 1st week of
    August, 2005.I was told that it will take 20 days for crediting into
    my account. After waiting for one month, i have complained about non
    crediting of the cheque in ICICI Bank customer service through
    mobile. I was told that within 3 working days they are going to get
    back to me. But no reply even after 15 days. I again tried the
    customer service and their executive informed that the cheque
    deposited by me is only 3000 Rs, not 30,000. He advised me to go to
    the branch office and complain with them. I was terribly shocked and
    went to ICICI bank branch office and have given the written complaint
    with enclosures (my copy of pay in slip, xerox copy of my cheque)etc.
    I was told that they will get back to me to my mobile within 2
    working days. But no reply. I again went to branch office and
    informed them about this matter. Finally branch manager promised me
    that he will take immediate action. But after a week he informed me
    that there are some problems in the software services of Indian
    Bank, hence it is getting delayed. I have waited and complained to
    ICICI corporate office through internet. i got the reply that please
    cooperate with Branch manager to solve the problem. Still I am
    running behind the branch office, but my problem is not solved even
    after 3 months.Also ICICI fellows are not in position to infoem me
    about the happenings. Every time i am going to their office but in
    vain. Now my request is that please give me some advice to solve my
    problem.

    This is a case squarely comes under deficiency of services, but also liable for
    damages for delay wrong information( Rs.3000/- instead of Rs.30000/-) which
    caused to you mental agony and depression.

    Therefore you can approach Consumer Forum having jurisdiction to entertain the
    same.
