Thanks for your kind reply and telephonic conversation.

I would like to bring to your kind notice that, for salary account opened during 2000, and from 2001 it is maintained as a regular savings bank account.

Further if it is a Salary account means, it is a zero balance account, and requirement of maintenance of quarterly average balance (QAB) is not needed.

But as far as in my account, the QAB CHARGES Charged twice ie. on 24.02.2010 for the quarter ended Dec 2009 Rs 827/- (please refer the maintained page 2) and
on 19.10.2011 for Sep 2011 quarter Rs 827/-. (please refer the page no 1 in attachment ) So once you charged the QAB means it amount to a regular savings account.

Further my content is that, when i asked why it is charged QAB charges, then your good office informed me that, since it is not a salary account, and not maintained.
the Minimum balance of Rs 10,000/- it is charged. I accepted and paid the amount. Even when i tried to close the account at royapettah branch, Chennai, during June 2011, it was
shown a credit balance (lien balance) so they asked me to pay the balance and then to close.

When i returned to my native place on job changeover, i visited to tirunelveli branch, and discussed with the officials to retrieve my account,
They asked me to pay the credit balance and to maintain the minimum balance and requested to produce the id proof, and address proof and all other formalities.
I complied and rretrieve the account with address change.. Then i applied for new debit card and i received the same. This all happened very recently ie., during July to Aug 2011 only.
Even My debit card issued on Sep 2011.

Further i took money by using ATM in November 2011 also. Even after issue of ATM Card, for the Sep 2011 quarter QAB charges charged in my account.

When i went to a restaurant along with my family for a dinner and when i tried the card, it was not accepted and i got a message declined.

When i tried in ATM to withdraw the money, and i got message that your card cannot accepted.

When i checked the same with the bank official when i went to deposit a cash of Rs. 200/- on 26.12.2011, they asked me to check with Customer Care.Accordinly when i checked with
the Customer Care, they informed that the account is under DEBIT FREEZE status, on account of Salary account.It is totally inappropriate.

I am very fed up and for the past six years i am operating this as a regular savings bank account, and even you charged QAB charges also (which is applicable only to SB Account) and how come you blocked
on the salary account status and that too without any intimation to me?
is it a way the ICICI treat a Customer.

Further when i depositing a cash, the icici can credit the same into my account even in a debit freeze mode, but when i issued a cheque, the icici returning the same. I am wondering..
Regarding this issue i spoken/taken the following steps with customer care as detailed below:
  1. First complaint: 207821571 – for unfreeze the account – complaint made on 29.12.2011.
  2. Second Complaint – Statement request – 207965493 for E statement on 30.12.2011
  3. Third Complaint – for QAB reversal 208119287 on 31.12.2011
  4. Fourth complaint – for e statement from 01.4.2010 to till date – 31.12.2011
  5. Cash deposit Rs 200/- on 26.12.2011 at Tirunelveli branch
  6. Call from Tirunelveli branch spoken by Sri Antony from number +914622321087 on 29.12.2011, afternoon by one lady from that branch.
  7. Call to customer Care on 01.01.2012, and spoken with Customer Care executive Mr Pradeep and Manger Mr Salman.
  8. Cheque issued and from tirunelveli branch they called me and informed that they are returning the cheque. ( Please note that when cash deposit they accepted in debit freeze mode)
  9. Call received from Smt.Prithi Bushetty, Office of Head Customer Service , regarding the issue and even she told that in debit freeze mode, the reversal not possible.But reversal they have made on 01.12.2012.
I have enclosed the abstract of my net banking statement for your kind ready reference for QAB charges verification.

These are all the feed back i wish to bring to your kind notice.

Kindly do the activation of my account immediately. This is my humble request.
