    Default FDs in ICICI Bank

    Dear sir,
    I am lt col rameshwar gupta, i am holding an account in ICICI Bank, sadar bazar, Agra, branch. i have invested Rs 7,63,200/- in 13 FDsin the same bank. my customer ID is 511708367 and a/c no is given above. my FDs matured on 26/10/2009. due to certain official commitements i could not reach the bank to get it renewed. now the bank is not renewing my FDs from 26/10.they are renewing from the current date. i am one of the old customer and expect the bank to extend such services to me, at least. besides i have not taken out the money, it is still with the bank. May i request you to help me out and get my FDs renewed from 26/10 only.

    Default Never ending charges from ICICI bank

    Everytime I login to my ICICI bank account, I have a new surprise waiting for me. Everytime it is a new charge or a fee. The most recent was when they charged me Rs.800 for not maintaining the quarterly Rs.10000 balance. First of all,I do not understand why they have to charge a balance of 10000 when everyone else has only 5000. However I raised a query and asked for the formula how it is calculated since according to my calculation I had kept the specific amount there. The customer service executive told that is was generated from the system and he did not have access to it. Does this mean that I am supposed to trust ICICI bank software and not ask for a formula?
    Last month, I used my ICICI bank atm card at a state bank atm and wrongly punched in 5000 instead of 500. The account did not have that balance and I was promptly shown the message. But the surprise came this month when I have been charged Rs.28 twice stating that "ATM decline" as the reason. Again there is no way to verify whether they are correct or I am?
    The worst part is,these charges are never listed out anywhere and seem to pop out of the blue.
    I can only truly hope, the bank changes its attitude towards fooling customers with these kind of charges.

    Dear Sir,
    The old customer funda never works with these guys. I have had to sell some of my very valuable shares since they were not ready to wait for a couple of weeks for me to pay my credit card bill.
    I had made a big purchase on my credit card and had requested the back to convert the payment to EMI so I cud pay monthly. I was told the EMI facility was withdrawn and could not be activated for a particular customer. They were not even ready to wait for some time so my FD cud mature and I could pay from there.
    So I had to sell my shares which have now doubled in value. I have hence taken the FD from them and deposited in a local co operative bank who not only offer better interest but also know how to talk to an old customer.
    I have my demat and salary account here, both of which I am in the process of closing. I am sure the bank will not survive based only on technology. What a bank needs is to understand the customer which I am sure ICICI bank has forgotten in the midst of process and technology.

    Hi,
    Has any action been taken? I have had a similar experience and now they have debited some charge called ATM Deny charges or something. All without authorization and without informing that there is such a charge.
    I am not sure they have a right to debit the money directly without authorization.
    Its equivalent to stealing.

    I am sending this mail to protest on the pathetic service of ICICI Bank which has put me in most distress.
    I have a car loan LABNG 00004543898 with ICICI bank. I have given a direct debit instruction for repayment of the car loan.
    My axis bank salary account is the debit account. Due to the delay in salary and non-availability of funds, the direct debit was returned.
    I was called by your customer care to provide a cheque for 10,641. The ICICI customer care personnel assured me that the amount includes the charges and the interest. The cheque was provided and my account got debited on 12-Dec-2009.
    To my surprise there was another ECS debit from my account for Rs 10,416 on 21-Dec-2009. On enquiring with ICICI phone banking personnel, I was told that the ECS was wrongly forwarded to Axis Bank and there would be reversal of the debit but not for the full amount but with the deduction of Rs 1000. I was told that this deduction is for the interest 7and the charges. Whereas I was assured that when the cheque was provided the interest and the charges was included in the amount that was advised.
    My gripes -
    1) In a month-end the amount of Rs. 10,000 INR debit is very very painful. I do not know how should I go through this month end without money. I am going through this distress because of a mistake you have committed
    2) What is this new Rs. INR 1,000 outstanding when I was made very clear that the cheque amount given by me on 12-Dec-2009 included all outstanding.

    Please tell me how do you intend to resolve the distress that you have put me through for no mistake of mine.
    I have been your customer since 1997. Please check with the Koramangala branch.
    I hope to hear from you soon on how and when your will redress my grievances.

    I am not happy with the ICICI bank the way the treat their customers. I have not got 20,000 while trying to withdraw from an ATM located in Hyderabad on 28th of Aug 2009. I have complained them about the same. However the response from them was the same that the transaction was successfull.

    I have a necessary proof with the ATM generated slips for the Transaction failure which occured on that particular day. I have attached a photocopy of these slips as well and had complained to the BANK STAFF.







    Below are the details of the complaint logged by going directly in the ICICI bank site.

    I am Subrahmanya Kumar A/c Holder of the ICICI branch - Nanganallur chennai (A/c # 005401522513). My dad (Mr. B.V Chalapathi Rao) had tried to withdraw Rs.20,000 from th ICICI ATM of CHANDANAGAR, HYDERABAD branch on 28th OCT 2009, the transaction got declined and was not successfull.

    He brought this to the notice of the Chandanagar branch staff notice immediately by logging a complaint SR123129265 and this followed by a series of requests to the notice of customer care and ICICI bank branch staff as well and the feedback for the every request was same "Transaction was successfull", although we havent received the amount.

    Going further we had sent the details to the branch by attaching the photocopy of the ATM slip, but however we didnt received the status.

    Since it has been pending for almost 2 and half months and i havent received the amount still now, I am writing you for your enquiry into this.

    Unhappy The flip side of banking with ICICI Bank

    ICICI BANK shameless company which thrives by making people suffer has done it once again. Blocked my salary account by linking it with a disputed loan repayment fiasco, which the bank could not solve, instead has charged 1 84 000 rupees as penalty and outstanding. Can you believe it, my balance shows Rs -56000 odd when i was expecting more than a lakh in the savings account. This is high time to teach them a lesson. They should not be allowed to do whatever they want and when they want. Here is what happened, any advice will be appreciated.
    I wrote a letter to you a few months back regarding my fears about my ICICI salary savings account. I told you that an issue with the ICICI bank’s personal loan repayment can cause problems, as I know that they will not think twice about blocking my account. If i remind them the bank has in fact recorded more profit in the years, then they say mind your own business, but, they would in turn keep telling me that why did you spend on a bike, or the fridge, or the TV when you have so much of debt. That apparently is their business.
    The dispute was about the repayment and the amount for settlement that was offered was not something that I could afford. So what I decided instead to do was to wait for sometime before they got back to me with a better offer. I have a friend in the bank who actually guided me to go for this wait and watch policy,
    She did tell me that they can block my salary account if they want to, and that is the reason I had implored you to consider this, and give me an alternate way to access my salary. Now, after 4 months of having raised that suspicion, my worst fear has come true.
    They decided to link the outstanding on the loan to my salary account and as of right now, after the salary was credited to the account, the account balance is showing INR Rs-56000.00/- and some change. (-ve balance). There was no warning provided to me, and even if I could do anything, there was nothing that the company could do to help me.They already know the kind of commitments I have, I have commitment to my family which depends on me, I have a sister, whose marriage I need to arrange and here I am, when I get my salary, and it is going to negative fifty six thousand. I know that it is mine, and only my fault and no one else could help me even if they wanted to, but this kind of situation, I cannot do anything. I needed that money so bad this month, and instead I now I owe the bank. I know for a fact that ICICI bank is just a assorted collection of crooks, who will not think twice before stooping to any depth.

    They tried to intimidate me by sending Thugs s at my house, but I faced them and I told them I am looking for a reasonable settlement, but instead of that they threatened me, and my mother after calling home. They are destroying my life, and I am not in a position to work with these difficulties. At the same time, I did not hide anything, I gave them all the details as was required when I joined, and when they came calling to my door asking me about repayment, I requested them to consider a reasonable agreement, but they started talking trash.

    Unless this is resolved, I cannot even think about what to do.I am really frustrated. I would not have worried if it was only my money, but the money in the account other than the 26, 700 as salary was my dad's. I have presented a cheque of 1 lac to the builder as a booking amount for apartment and now that is also gone.

    I do not have the courage to tell my parents about this, i cannot tell them that because of me, the bank did this and since the payment did not go through, i cannot help them to get that apartment. I know that i clearly lacked forsight by dragging my account in to this transaction, but i was only trying to help without thinking.

    Please help me get the money cleared, i will close this account or do anything as you ask me to do, and ensure this kind of goof up does not happen again. This realization is killing me...

    You have a very strong reason to drag them to the Consumer Forum, just send a written notice at the below mentioned address to the CMD of ICICI Bank via registered post (keep one copy with you), mention all the details in it, attach photo copy of the transection slip and ask them for the 12% interest + damages within the mention time of 10-15 days.

    Being a loyal customer i had being 12.25% rate of interest charged instead of 8.25% rate of interest please reduce my @ rate of interest loan account no.lbp363654 application no 2282656 loan amount rs 560000/

    Existing rate of interest is 11.5% please convert rate of interest to 8.25% we are ready to pay processing fees why there is different rate of interest to different consumer ,it is moral duty of bank to fulfil maximum benefit by own
