    Default Poor response to customer request by ICICI Bank.

    Sir,

    It is submitted that I, SLt Sunil Kumar Singh serving in Indian Navy,
    placed a request for conversion of my savings account in ICICI Bank
    (Dwarkanagar Branch, Visakhapatnam) to an Joint account on 14 Jul 09. The
    Bank Claims that they process request of joint accounts in four working
    days. However, in my case it did not even bothered to call and inform the
    status of request after 10 days. Of my personal interest I submitted request
    to know the status through internet. I got information that my signatures do
    not match. To resolve this issue I again visited Branch office and placed a
    request for my signature change in bank's records. In spite of visiting
    branch thrice, my request is still pending with remarks not justifiable.

    The very purpose of making my account a joint account is that my wife
    presently do not hold any account with me. She has received a cheque of Rs
    15000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) delivered on my office address from
    insurance company Allianz Bajaj to which all premiums are paid by me through
    the same (ICICI) bank. My wife is a house wife, she has no source of income.

    It is pertinent to mention that all relevant document are already
    submitted which includes self attested copy of PAN Card, Address proof and
    duly completed joint account opening application.

    I am a Naval Officer (Government's Gazetted Officer) who is facing such
    problems with a Bank which self acclaims itself to be India's No 1/2 Bank. I
    am afraid what it will do with normal customer. This deed of bank needs to
    be resolved which not only wastes valuable time of people but also creates
    depression and anxiety. I am not only losing interest on that Rs 15000/- due
    to Bank's complacent functioning but sandwiched between domestic
    requirements (caused purely due to bank's negligence) and service exigencies
    (Paramount in a soldiers life).



    My savings account particulars are as follows: -

    Sunil Kumar Singh, A/c No - 00600102810, Branch - Dwarkanagar,
    Visakhapatnam. 530014.



    Request an early action on this issue.

    Dear Mr. Singh,

    To sort out such kind of Banking complaint, you will have to send a written complaint to the Head Office of the concerned Bank, on the name of CMD and wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. If the Bank fails to provide you any help in that time frame then you can send your written complaint to the RBIs Banking Ombudsman division. You will get the contact details of Banking Ombudsman from the website of RBI.
