Myself Swapan kumar Basu working in Ascot Digital Pvt Ltd.,228 A AJC Bose road,Kolkata-20, have a Salary Account in HDFC bank,Constantia building,Dr U.N.Brahmachari Street Branch,Kolkata-17.My bank A/C No is -01051050325445 where my salary is being credited.

Recently in the month of June itself HDFC has sent me a letter(dt 1/6/11) stating that they are holding my funds i.e.an amount of Rs 17,223.25 which was my hard earned salary.The reason they have stated is that I have dues against my credit card (number -5176521003381763).

The outstandings of Rs 127,123.96 against my credit card which they are showing and for which they have refused to produce a statement of transactions,is well under my doubt and I am in process of discussion with HDFC's authorised officer Archita Biswas so that the dues,if any,is amicably settled.

But while a discussion and process is going on over a seperate issue of credit card for which I am already talking and ready to settle, all of a sudden,HDFC Bank has blocked my salary and created a huge trouble for me and my family.

Since I have lost my father recently and standing a lone earning member of my family,it has become quite difficult for me to continue livelihood without my hard earned salary which HDFC has blocked. Myself alongwith my whole family is entirely dependent on my salary and without which I can not continue my everyday functioning and cannot even afford to avail the basic daily requirements.

I therefore request the concerned authority to look into the matter and take necessary steps so that neither HDFC can put a hold on my salary account,nor they could debit my money towards any undiscussed or unsettled dues which they are claiming.
