I took a personal loan with HDFC Bank. Due to my Financial Hardship, I missed few EMI's, however the bank Representative asked to pay atleast Rs.100/- every month until I start paying the actual EMI amount. I agreed to the same.I was out of town in the last week of May2011, so the Bank asked me to pay Rs.100/- through someone. Hence, I asked the bank Rep to come at my home and collect the money from my friend(THIRD PARTY. While collecting the money, the representative disclosed all my loan a/c information and the the missed EMI history/details to the third party and also explained that account holder is not making the full payment on time and has missed many EMI's which is strictly against BANKER AND CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP LAW.And the bank breached the law As per Sec. 13 of “Banking Companies Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings Act 1970”- and bank is liable for the same.
I would like a strict action to be taken against the bank and the bank should be penalized for the breach of the law.
Yours obediently
