Again request ICICI Bank thru email to reverse the wrong charges and inform
that if you don't reverse than you will complain to appropriate authority.
Ask for the detailed Terms & Conditions for EDC Machine and also ask for the
proof of intimation to you about the minimum business. Copy email to ICICI
Bank CEO

Within 30 days from refusal date you can complain to RBI under Banking
Ombudsman.

it seems icici bank wants to squeeze small clients/investors for their asset
depreciation outside India. Pl. hear my horrible experience with
icicidirect.com. Generally, I will not do trading with this site. For 2 days
in the month of Aug-08 I did trading. All intra-day transactions have been
charged under delivery instead of square off basis. I was thinking that I will
get Rs.1800 profit. But to my shock I received paltry amount. I sent my
objections via email. But no fruitful result. So, I lodged complaint with NSE
Investor grievance cell. So, before stepping into ICICI bank or any subsidiary
of ICICI Bank, we have to ensure twice that we are safe.

Dear All

It seems that ICICI bank has started charging for all sundry things to patch up
losses in sub prime crisis. They have increased minimum deposits in saving
account from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10000 even for small town branches. Now if people
do not follow or had not got any message they would be fined Rs. 750 for non
maintenence of AQB. Assuming that nearly 1 lakh saving accounts are not able to
maintain AQB in first month itself then Rs. 7.5 crore is in ICICI pocket with
out any hitch. They will say that they have sent u email, displayed on bank
counter, sent postal mail along with account statement, displayed on web site
etc. but you are aware of it only when there is deduction of AQB amount.

In your case, EDC machine is installed at a merchant only when he promises
certain minimum amount of business. This may be written on terms and conditions
you have signed it or local marketing officer must have told you your sales
target.

Keep complaining you will get results.

Dear Mr.Mathur,

There is was mention of Minimum Business requirement at the time of signing the
agreement of the EDC machine.

As per my talk with the Merchant Department of the ICICI Band the same has been
amended later on and they say the same has been intimated to the Merchants as
well and there are number of Merchants who havent received this intimation and
the charges have been debited to them.

I also requested the bank to send the copy of the receiving of the same sent by
the bank but they refused to provide the same which is not good on the part of
the bank which clearly shows that bad intension of the bank in order to make
money by doing wrong practise.

Am quite taken aback with the way central bank(bangalore branch)has handelled my current account
Firstly i applied for an E
EDC machine,i got it after much delay thereafter a few months later the bank manager tells me that i have to pay a sum of Rs.10000+ for using the EDC machine apart from the 2.25%that they charge on the card amount that i swipe,am totally upset about the entire amount that i paid also aRs. 6000 something that i paid this month .When i chkd my agreement nothing is mentioned about Rs650 per month as machine rent.
Is this bank not being fair....well am trying to find out...plz help!
