Highly Irresponsible act in opening Salary account in ICICI bank, Mumbai (Chandivali Branch).
I had submitted all the necessary documents with the agent for the opening of salary account and was given the Account kit which contains the Debit card, username , password and cheque book. As the documents submitted were completely verified by him and were all complete in all forms( leave and license notarised copy, marriage certificate, pan card and then employment proof). I was assured that the count will be active in 7 days and I would get details verification call/ personal visit of agent for verification. My account didnt get activated and its been going to be one month. After contacting bank people I was told that there looks to be an issue in documents and they will get back to me soon. But till date no information is provided. I suffered a lot of pain as I had done some online transactions into my account. the transaction of money has gone thru in my account but I cant take the money out. As was assured that all documents are complete and intact I used the same cheque book for ECS options in my policies which got bounced back and I had to suffer the losses.
I would like the question the authority as to How can they act so late on salary accounts, when all the documents provided are notarized/ court attested and shown with originals. I have other accounts in my name in competitive banks as well but never faced such a delay and humilation. After rounds of calls and visits to ICICI branch I still have no clear information on how to proceed.My account number is : 102201507279 (ICICI Bank – Chandivali Branch)
