Hi,
My name is Abhijeet Kulkarni and I have a Salaried Savings Bank A/C bearing A/C No : 624001547466. with ICICI Bank, Bhandarkar Road Branch in Pune. Today when I logged in to my netbanking I saw that my Total Available balance was in negative.

I contacted ICICI Bank Phone Banking Service (Call Centre) and they said that there is a Lean Mark on my account. (I am not sure what a lean mark is, secondly why cant they use a consumer friendly language). He checked the system and informed me that I have a credit card with ICICI Bank.

Now the problem starts : (I am not sure if they have blocked the account) I do not have any credit card with ICICI Bank my only relation with ICICI Bank is with this savings account which I have opened approximately 6 to 7 months back. The ICICI Representative informed me that all the details in my savings account match with the Credit Card Account and there has been a payment done on the credit card as well, I am not sure who made the payment he says the mode of payment was in CASH.

I asked him why didn't the communicate with me earlier before blocking the account or debiting the amount from my account and on what basis or using what authorization have they debited my account on which he asked me to contact the Collections Manager however, he was not ready to disclose any contact details about the collections manager in Bhandarkar Road Branch.

ICICI Rep informed me that the card was issued approximately 1.5 yrs back. When i asked him to confirm the address he gave me the address of one of my previous employer and when I asked him to confirm the email address and contact no. both of them were incorrect. Now if the card was issued 2 yrs back and if I am having this savings account from last 6 to 7 months was ICICI Bank sleeping all this while and then one fine day they get up and block the account.

This is absolutely unfair hence I would like to proceed with taking Legal Action against ICICI Bank. Can some one please guide me as to how do I File a consumer as well as a Fraud Case against ICICI Bank. Similar incident with my friend, I dont understand that poor guy with name Vijay staying at one address had ICICI salary A/c. and suddenly he did not receive salary of that particular month and he went to bank,

Bank people started telling the same story. Later understood in the same home earlier there was one more Vijay.


ICICI want his customers not to keep the same name. They play with software what they have, but actully they are playing with the life of others
