Now they are thinking that Urban area people have income of more than 15000 rs. pm and they dont have family. So every people can maintain their 10000 AQB.
And Now because of this policy all urban area people will face this issue.
Just think if they would have 1Million Urban customer now company profit will increase by 1Million X 827 X 4. And they are giving MORE profit if we deposit amount in their account.
Means if you couldn't mainting 10000 AQB then you will be charge by 827 every 3 months = 3308.IT IS VERY LEESSS AMOUNT THEN INTEREST GIVEN BY BANK.

EVERYBODY CAN CALCULATE THE PROFIT BECAUSE OF THIS.

IF YOU TELL RBI REGARDING THIS THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING......THEY DONT HAVE ANY POWER...

    Default HDFC Securities

I am based out of Bangalore. I opened a salary account with HDFC bank in June last week with which they offered a Dmat account with waived off maintainance charges for first year. As I wanted to enter into equity market I submitted the documents (Pan card, driving license, 2 photographs) for opening a Dmat account. The processing took lot of time and I was not informed about the status for over 3 weeks whereas for others who submitted the documents for dmat along with me got it opened in 10 days or so. After many efforts for contatcing the HDFC representative in my company I got the contact in HDFC to inquire about my Dmat status. Contacting the person I was told that my application was rejected because the signature on driving license is not visible (which is not the case). The female asked me to submit another application with new set of documents (pan card, passport, 2 photographs and salary slip). Same story was repeated. Nobody informed about the status for over 2 weeks and after contacting them I was again given some reasons related to signature which were totally unacceptable. Again the female insisted on submitting couple of more documents which I did. Have been waiting for status for more than 2 weeks now. In all this process has taken almost 3 months now and I am pissed off. Called them hundreds of times asking them to stop the processing and return my all documents. The female has been consistently telling that it will be open in next few days. I have started hating HDFC...probably the most hopeless bank in private sector. Others are much better. Have heard of many torturing incidents from many othe friends.

I want my all documents back as HDFC has no right to keep my documents after the applications are rejected and I cant deny the possibility of misuse of my documents

    Default min qtrly balance

i was going to register for hdfc saving account, but looking at this uninformed increase in quaterly balance i believe i would not be ready to take shock of 800 if next time hdfc decide to increase qtrly bal to 15000 or 20000... i think non of the customer would be ready to take this sort of penalty.

    thank you for this information

    Dear Sir,

The bank periodically reviews its services and the associated charges, to be able to continue providing best-in-class service and facilities to its customers. We assure you that all these charges are approved only after careful deliberation, and are not arbitrarily imposed on customers. We hope you will not let the issue of these charges make you reconsider your decision to bank with us – we look forward to being of service to you.

Your statement that the bank comes up with these rates only after careful deliberation adds insult to injury.. because the careful deliberations seem to have taken into account only the bank's profit margins and have nothing to do with the customer's interests.

I am a long time account holder with HDFC and have two Imperia accounts and multiple salary accounts for my employees. I am increasingly getting frustrated with HDFC for the following reasons:

    1. Completely arbitrary rules and regulations. Your recent decision to charge Rs.100/- cash transaction if a savings bank account customer performs more than 5 cash transactions per month is completely and totally unfair. Most urbanites will needs Rs.1000+ per week for transportation and other miscellaneous bills - you can't pay your auto driver using a credit card, and neither can one pay their maid, their garbage man etc.. using cheques.

So it isn't unusual for a person to need to use the ATM more than once a week. That would mean a minimum of 8 transactions a month..and each of these transactions will be typically for amounts such as Rs.1000 or less.. since it isn't smart to keep a lot of money on your person especially if you travel a lot using public transportation or if you live in a shared accommodation.

Now if a person needs to perform just 8 ATM transactions a month, they will be charged Rs.100/- for all transactions after the 5th one.. which means the person gets charged Rs.300/-.. which would be for when they have taken out only about Rs.3000.. and that is a cool 10% off the person's account.. which is completely unfair.

    2. The quality of service has declined considerably from when I started with HDFC. The bank branches seem to have taken in too many accounts.. but without increasing the infrastructure to deal with the additional customers. So the queues are getting longer, the wait times have increased considerably, the charges have increased and the quality of service has dropped a LOT.
I am considering shifting business accounts to other banks now though it will be a lot of headache..

    Thanks,
    Prem

    Dear Prem,

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that all transactions at an HDFC Bank ATM are free. Additionally, 5 free transactions are also allowed per month at non-HDFC Bank ATMs. From the sixth transaction onwards, a charge of Rs. 20 (plus tax) per transaction is applicable. We would like to assure you that all these charges are in line with the RBI's guidelines and are further published on the fee schedule on our website: HDFC Bank - Leading Bank in India, Banking Services, Private Banking, Personal Loan, Car Loan
