    Exclamation Mis conduct and Mis communication by Bank resulting in Car Loan EMI bounce

    I hold a ICICI credit card which had an outstanding around Rs. 33,000 which was due for quite long. In the month of June 09 I got call from customer care that I can convert this amount to Loan and can pay in EMI’s which I opted as I was willing to clear this amount. The executive told me that they will send a schedule and the amount details that I need to pay monthly. To my surprise the communication never arrived at my address in Delhi in month of July. I received the first communication in the month October around 12th and I paid my due for month of October Rs.2900, collected by collection agency AOKIN House . In the month of November I got call from customer care that I have amount of Rs. 2980*3 = 8940 for July, aug and September plus nov 2890. Total = 11830 pending. They advised me to pay extra amount in coming months to clear off 8940, so I paid Rs 5000 for November extra of 2100, collected by collection agency AOKIN House

    I hold ICICI car loan a/c , which has auto debit on 5th of every month from my ICICI saving bank a/c . When I went to bank on 1st December to deposit my car loan amount, I found out that my SB a/c is blocked in for the non payment in loan a/c of credit card as mentioned above. I called up customer care and had talk with Mr. Abhishek and he advised in first instance that I need to pay minimum of 3700 to unblock my account. I dropped in cheque of HSBC and called up again to confirm that I have paid the amount, the call was answered by some other executive and she told me that its not 3700,I have to pay but it will be the total for July, aug and September = Rs 6590 (2890*3) which was due to bring in line to the schedule. She said that Mr. Abhishek will call me to tell me exact amount. He called up from No:022-67034129 in the evening of 1st December and confirmed that since I have paid 3700, I need to pay remaining 2890 by cash to unblock by 4th Dec so that my car loan doesn’t bounce. He told that if it will be cheque again then it would take 3 days to clear and another 2 days to unblock SB a/c. (It’s not serving my purpose as still seems car loan will bounce by 5th dec.). Today on 2nd Dec I deposited 2890 in the IP extension branch of East Delhi. I called up customer care to request to unblock and the call was answered by some executive from Hyderabad and he had some different story to tell. He mis behaved with me as a customer and told that I have to pay whole amount that is outstanding on the credit card converted to loan account, then only the SB a/c will be unblocked. I told that Mr. Abhishek has asked me to pay 6590, but he told being rudely that any executive can’t call and that I am lying. Even after many request he told that, then in that case call Mr. Abhishek and it can only be done by Mr. Abhishek and he can’t do any thing.

    Now the Car loan has bounced as the lien was removed on 7th Dec, i want to lodge complain for bounce of Car EMI because of mis communication and without consent of the customer.
