    Default complaint against Centurion Bank of Punjab

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I have submitted a complaint to bank of punjab on two ocassions on 26 sep 2006 and
    feb 2007 but have not had any replies from them.Could you please look into it.The
    complaint was as follows:-

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I have an account with your bank Malout branch .I use it to send money to my parents
    in punjab.Last time when i came to india i came to know i had been levied charges
    for not maintaining the requisite minimum balance i.e., Rs 5000 five thousand
    rupees. I came back to england and restored the requisite balance but recently my
    father who has the power of attorney checked my balance found that your bank is
    still levying charges. Upon enquiring from the staff he was told that the minimum
    balance to be maintained was now 10,000 rupees ten thousand but no notice had been
    given to me whether in writing or verbally.I request you to waive these charges as
    it is clearly a breach of banking code since no notice has been given to me on
    raising the required minimum balance.My acct no is 69SB15217597.Early resolution of
    the matter will be highly appreciated.I also requested a new login and password and
    filled a new form for that but nothing has been recieved till
    now.It would also be helpful if communication via E-mail is maintained.My e-mail

    Dear Sir/Madam
    my account no is 69SB15217597 at your malout branch
    i submitted a complaint on 26/9/06 regarding charging my account for not maintaining
    the required balance at your malout branch but have not heard from you since.wolud
    you please give an adequate response or i would have to report you to the banking
    ombudsman in chandigarh.the grievance is that i was never informed of raising the
    minimum required balance from Rs5000 to RS 10,000, and i have been charged
    wrongly.please email me or let me know when to call and at what number

    So in the end i had to close my bank account as they kept on levying charges even
    after raising this issue at the local branch when i went to india

    Default Complaint Against Bank of Punjab Employee Mr. Tanveer Ahmed(6445)

    Respected Sir,
    I am IJAZ HUSSAIN SHAH from Sahiwal Pakistan. I visit Bank of Punjab Rashid Minhas Shaheed Road, Sahiwal branch code 0012 phone number 040-9200168-70. With my uncle on 14-05-2012 for the opening of current account with the reference of Sidra Ashfaq (employee # 32392) bank of Punjab Renala khurd, mitchel road branch branch code 0262. I have a complaint against Mr. Tanvir Ahmed (employee number 6445) employee of Bank of Punjab Rashid Minhas Shaheed Road, Sahiwal.
    I reached the above mentioned bank round about 4:15 pm where I join mr. Tahir Ahmed to open the account of my uncle MR. MUHAMMAD ARIF who is a farmer. Mr Tahir Ahmed required some documents for account opening, we provide all the required documents. Mr. Tahir said us that please wait 10 minutes because he is busy with another customer. We waited their around 30 minutes at 4:45 pm I again remember him that we are waiting. Then he replied us that now it’s time over please come tomorrow. I request to him that Sir it’s not fair that you waited us around 30 minutes and now you are saying that time is over if it was not possible to open this account today then why you waited us 30 minutes, you must have to say us that time when I join you. Then he replied I can’t do this now come tomorrow. I again request that we have come from a long distance please open it today, then he starts misbehave/wrong task with us. I said to him that I shell complain to State bank of Pakistan. Then he was agreed to open the account. When he was filling the account opening form I inform him that we are with the reference of Mis. Sidra Ashfaq above mentioned employee please enter her name in the reference column, when he complete the form said my uncle to make signature and thumb on form I request him to check me the filled form, when I see that he did not enter the name of Mis Sidra Ashfaq in reference column I said him that why he did not enter her name then he replied that he is not my bound to obey my orders, I request that sir it is not an order it is a request. It is not any illegal action. I have come with the reference of her so it’s your duty to enter the name of her. He again use harsh words to us, and order me that leave this seat go from here and he enter his own name in reference column. Sir it was great shock for us that why he did so? Why he misbehave with us? Did we were wrong? Did we say him any illegal work? Did we make this mistake that we chose BOP to open our account? These are all questions due to that I am sending you this email.

    1: Sir Mr. Tahir Ahmed make misbehave with us as he has no right to do this.
    2: why he did not enter our demanded reference in reference column?

    Please take necessary action against him. You can verify that account which he open that is cd 99123 Name of Muhammad Arif S/O Mehmood cnic # 36502-5750083-9. Thanking you very much and waiting your reply.
