Bank employee harassing customers

    Default Bank employee harassing customers

    To Honorable Judge,

    Kindly be informed that i have an ICICI account where their employees have misspelled my name as sumeet shankar, where my original name is sumeeth shankar. While opening the account I provided my form 60 and drivers licence as proof where my name is correctly spelled.
    Due to this problem some of my cheques did not clear on time and i had to physically go to the bank with my passport to show that my name is misspelled and my correct name is sumeeth shankar.
    Currently I do not stay in india and would be here for a very short time and I am spending my whole day to resolve this petty thing and bank employees are harrassing me like anything. Bank employee at safdarjung enclave, delhi told me that I have to go to the sushant lok branch gurgaon with my passport to rectify this, when I went there with my passport they said my PAN is not updated so they gave me all the form and said I can submit to any of the bank. When I went next day again to the nearby safdarjung branch with my passport and Pan they said the procedure has changed and i have to bring gazette paper. I lost my temper and when i shouted in front of the other customers they told me that they will retrieve the initial form which they made me fill in order to open the account and if they find the document i submitted (licence and form 60) have the correct name they will update in 2 days. It has been 15 days and i have not received any follow up from them. I have my personal EMI to go from this bank and if the cheque bounces i have to pay money to icici and hdfc (personla loan) and would also spoil my credit history.

    I have emailed icici complaint cell twice they have raise 2 service request but did not follow up.

    I want justice from you, i do not have much time as i may have to goto dubai anytime for job purpose. The employees know that i have to go and i wont be available so they are deliberately doing this so that they could charge money from my account.

    Dear Sir,

    To sort out such kinds of Banking complaints, you will have to send a written complaint to the Head Office of the concerned Bank and wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. Keep a copy of that letter with you so that if the Bank fails to give you any solution, you can forward your complaint to the Banking Ombudsman.
