I have a savings salary account and a credit card with ICICI Bank.
Last month ICICI bank has deducted about Rs 32,000 from my salary account. The total available balance in my account was Rs 32000 so they deducted that and now it's showing Rs.-,32000. I requested for customer care and no response from them . I written mail to sr level manager but i didnt get proper response from them. My credit cartd expired at 2006' But i didnt recived new card and i paid intrest for 3 years. When i asked for the settlement they have not given any settlement.
I don't know if they have blocked my salary account because I am not able to withdraw any amount using ATM card or cheque.
I called ICICI customer care and they told it has been blocked by the credit card department of ICICI.
An amount of Rs 55,000 was due on my ICICI credit card even though my limit was only Rs 35,000 and . I had asked for settlement but never got any letter for settlement and instead they have deducted this amount from my salary account.
As far as I know the savings account and credit card both are separate entities in a Bank. Bank cannot make any transaction without my consent.
This is totally unacceptable.
Kindly suggest how can I recover and unblock my salary account with ICICI.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

To sort out such kind of Banking complaints, you will have to send a written complaint to the Head Office of the concerned Bank and wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. If the Bank fails to provide you any help in that time frame then you can send your written complaint to the RBIs Banking Ombudsman Division also. The Bank's Head Office address is:

if u get your amount back from this cheap icici bank close all your accounts as soon as

possible with icici bank to avoid future problems .

Go with HDFC or any govt banks but avoid icici bank if u care for your hard earned money.

what ever happened with prasanna, the same happened wth me ,provided my usage was 30,000 and they charged me 68,000(including intrest), from which i could able to pay 36,000/-, rest 32.,000/- blocked in my salary account(-32,000). i am also facing the same problem.when i tried to contact customer care...no response.i am shifting my salary account to another bankm, provided i lost 32,000 extra.

ICICI bank is fraud bank ... I don't know why our government not taking action on them.... May be they pay to our government for this.
They give me a EMI credit card with 1000 per month EMI ..... I am paying 1k from last 2yrs..... But they now wants there money back...They block my salary account. I think ICICI bank is in a big trouble.... Might be they are going to bank corrupt.... Please close all your account in this bank...

My name is Srinvas Narava. I am holding a ICIC Bank Credit Card No. 4443 4100 9483 6002. I have a serious complaint reg. the settlement of this card. Due to jobless I am not able to give the payments for this credit card. I got a call from Dinesha on September 2009 holding the contact number (080 43405814 , 97439 42302). She told me that you have to make a payment of 600Rs., so that your card will be settled and settlement letter will be sent to you with in 12-24 hours (In fact I have received the same kind of call from prakash and he said you have make t 4000 rs so that your card will be settled and you will receive the settlement letter and hence I have made the payment the same amount on April 2009 but I have not received any settlement letter) This matter I was explained to Dinesha and she said this time it won’t happen like that and I am ensure that you will receive the letter from our end . As per her words I had a made a payment of 600rs on 07/09/2009 vide receipt o 8465229 but I have not received any kind of letter from her and I am trying to reach the above numbers from which I got the call but no response.

In the month of Feb 2010 , Rs.13,541/-was blocked from my account. I have called up to the Customer Care Exe. and he said we have blocked your account because non – payment of Credit Card Outstanding balance and same amount was debited from my account with out notice to me in the next month. The reason why I kept the amount in my account is in spite of job less, because I have to pay EMI’s to theICICI Bank , in fact I have borrowed the some 20000 rs from outside.

I went to ICICI Bank office on 05th april 2010 they said you have proceed legally because we can't help you regading this matter..That's why i am noticing this issue with you. Please help me to resolve this issue.

I am working in TCS from last 3 months and i got harassing painful tortured from ICICI credit card department. The mental agony and the pain i got from this card inexpressible in words.
This month ICICI bank(A/c 060101516396) has deducted about Rs 41,875 from my salary account. The total available balance in my account was Rs -24,049.12. so they deducted that and now it's showing Available Balance Rs 41,875. I requested for customer care and no response from them . I written mail to sr level manager but i didn’t get proper response from them. I was regularly paying the Minimum amount due to my credit card. Around 8 month back my credit card 32000/- total outstanding w as there. I lost the job on 2009 July due to recession and i am unable to pay the amount. But i wanted to clear the credit card payments. Last week 23rd July some person called from CITI financial and started to harass me to pay the amount. I have called ICICI credit card division and launched complaint against that collection agency since they started to tortured my parents. Same call i updated them i need a settlement they promised me that they will give a call on this. When i asked for the settlement they have not given any settlement?

An amount of Rs 60,000 was due on my ICICI credit card even though my limit was only Rs 41,875 and i had another ICICI account that account also they blocked and taken out my 5300Rs.(A/c No 01401519064) I had asked for settlement but never got any letter for settlement and instead they have deducted this amount from my salary account.

The total amount deducted from my account is 5300+41,875.=47175. How can one deduct 47175 from customer account and tell its settlement? My credit card balance amount was only 32,000/-. I don’t have any money to eat for this month and i don’t have any money to feed my dependents. Please help me on this.
