Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a 43-year-old married woman with a 13-year-old daughter, aged parents, and a
bed-ridden mother-in-law. I am an aggrieved woman whose employer (Mr. Ashish
Mitra/Exterior-Interiors) humiliated and harassed her, terminated her services after
just 11 days of work and now refuses to pay the dues.

I joined Exterior-Interiors, a Calcutta-based company, as Center Head in their
Kalkaji, Delhi, branch on 1 June 2009.

As per the offer letter, I was expected to attend the career fair in Ashoka Hotel,
Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on 30th and 31st May 2009 (2 days before joining, so without
pay) and attend one-week training in Kolkatta in the middle of June 2009 (expenses
to be borne by Exin).

I attended the fair as per their instructions. On 6th June 2009, my immediate boss
Mr. Suman Ghosh advised me that the 1-week training in Kolkatta has been fixed for
15 June 2009, so I need to get my rail tickets booked accordingly. I got this done.
On 9th June 2009, I was told that the training has been postponed to 17th June 2009,
so I need to cancel and get tickets re-booked.. I followed these instructions as
well.

On 11 June 2009, however, the owner of the company Mr. Ashish Mitra came from
Kolkatta to the Delhi office. Shortly after he reached the office in the morning, he
called me inside his cabin. After a brief discussion on my education and my family
background, he mentioned that he was eagerly awaiting my Kolkata visit. As soon as
I finished, he passed extremely inappropriate comments on my dress and hair. I
objected and he asked me to leave the room. Later around 4 PM, he called me inside
again and said he does not want me to work for the company any more and my dues
cheque would be couriered to my residence by next month.

Till date the dues cheque has not reached me and their mails to me so far in this
regard indicate that they have no intention of doing so. They are harassing me
unnecessarily. Their mails are given below for your reference.

Other relevant details are as follows.

Interviewed for the post of Center Head on: 14 May 2009

Interviewed by: Ms. Archana Malhotra (Dy. Director)

During interview: Normal questions were asked and towards the end, Ms. Malhotra
asked me to give some references and e-mail a plan of action I would follow if
given the job. So I gave references of my ex-colleagues and sent the required e-mail
as well. The reference check was done by them far too diligently. I am sure of this,
since my ex-colleagues whose names I had given, told me..

Job offer given telephonically by: Ms. Archana Malhotra

Date of telephonic job offer: 18 May 2009. (Little did I know at that time what I
was heading for).

My association with Exin (Exterior-Interiors) brought me only misery, mental
anguish, and humiliation for no fault of mine. I now request you to use your good
offices to get me the dues that I am entitled to.

Best regards,
Jasbir Chatterjee

Ms. Chatterjee,

We are sorry to see your threat. However, since you have not signed and accepted our
appointment, you are not even a probationary employee in the company.
The jurisdiction of all disputes on any matter is by Arbitration and the place of
such Arbitration is Kolkata, but since you did not accept our offer of employment,
we wonder what dispute you wish to take legal.
In the event you still proceed on any ill advised action, it will be solely at your
own risk and consequences.
This is without prejudice to our rights and contentions.

B.Nandy,
Sr. Accounts Manager.
