This incident happened around 2 months back. I'm working in a software company and i was given laptop from company. I am working in this firm for the past 5 years. Recently i lost my 2year old latop. Since my reporting police station is parappa nagara police station, i went there and reported the issue to the officer. I hadto wait the whole day to even properly report the incident.

Then finally they sent a constable with me to check the incident spot. It was more like checking the status of my house. This guy came in and was looking all around my house, like "Is this guy capable of giving money or not" look. After that we went back in my bike, and asked for lodging an FIR. The police inspector there, was quite rude to me in replying telling that, we cannot lodge FIR for anything less than 50000/- rs worth.

But i pleaded with him telling that, my company requires an FIR in order to saction insurance amount for the laptop. Or else i would need to pay the full amount to company. For this he was demanding a 5000rs bribe. So now he was willing to give FIR, when earlier he had already told that FIR itslf wont be given for anything less than 50000 rs. They even tried to put the blame on me telling that i should have been more careful with my latop. First of all my latop was stolen from inside my house. If i had left it outside somewhere due to my negligence, then i would have ccepted my mistake. I couldnt afford to pay so much since, once i get the FIR, i needed to pay around 5000rs in company too. So that means 10000 rs(including FIR bribe) in total.

Further more when he understood that i wont be able to give 5000rs,he gave me another option telling that i can get an endorsement letter for 2000rs. Showing this endorsement letter to company will be enough was the reply from inspector.

Finally after much pleading, i agreed to pay 2000rs for endorsement letter. I gave it and the inspector told me to come the next week monday to collect. When i went there for the same, the inspector was not present. From then on it became a habit, i call the inspector and go to police station to collect letter. But he wont be there. This has happened 5 -6 times.


Still I AM WAITING FOR THE ENDORSEMENT LETTER/FIR.NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.

SUCH PATHETIC and INHUMAN BEHAVIOUR FROM OFFICIALS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AND PUNISHABLE MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN AGAINST THEM, SO THAT NO BODY ELSE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCES SUCH AS MINE.

I have lost 2 months and 2000rs for nothing. I need an FIR lodged.

IS THERE ANYONE TO HELP ME. PLEAD FOR JUSTICE.
