    INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB CHEATED ME


    I am complaining here against the India Today Book Club. This Book Club is
    harassing me since last 6 Months. The details of my complain are as follows:

    On the month of November 2008 the India Today Book Club Offered me an offer
    that if i accept an order of a SAAZ CD pack which cost around Rs.2249 then
    they will give me a free Reebok Shoe and other lots of Gifts. In the month
    november i accepted the parcel. there in the parcel it was written that i
    should submit my invoice number and membership number to be eligible to get
    my shoe and other gifts. The site they provide never displayed online.
    Therefore i called the customer care of India Today Book Club. They asked me
    for my order number, Invoice number and my membership number so that they
    can dispatch my free gifts. They asked me my shoe size and i provided them
    all the details that is needed. I made the first call to they customer care
    in the month of november and since then i have made around 10 calls to them
    to claim my gifts but every time i call them they make me hold my call for
    30 mins and at the end they ask my shoe size and tell me that it will be
    delivered within 15 days. This process repeated for 10 times till the end of
    January 2009. After that i mailed the costumer care of India Today Book
    Club. Replying my mail they asked me for my Shoe size and gave me assurance
    that my shoe will be delivered soon. After that i have written around 15
    mails to them and each and every time they reply me that " We apologize for
    the inconvenience caused to you in this regard. With reference to your mail
    we would like to inform you that as per your intimation we have checked your
    all details, we have forwarded your concern to our senior Department, you
    will receive your shoe 7 as soon as possible. We will provide you very soon
    your new order number" . They same thing they are replying me from my
    first mail to them till now. I started mailing them from the month of
    January and now it is the mid of April an still i have got my shoe yet. I am
    extremely feed up with the India Today Book Club as they have cheated me and
    are still cheating me. If the consumer court want they email conversation of
    the Book club and me i can also provide it. The India Today Book Club have
    eaten my money and just sitting idle and harassing me.

    Default Cheating by india today book club

    I HAD ORDERED a fitness kit with India today book club on 13th june 2009 for 3190 which was charged to my card on 14th june. But regret till date the same has not delivered to my address. My repeated mails and phone calls did not get me the desired results.

    when ever I call to India todaybookclub customer care they are not responding properly.They do not give the correct information about the draw of sweepstakes 60,0000 contest.India today group cheating the people by making orders of their products and not dispatching them. When will be the draw means they send the information this is the final month to draw.this information they are giving from January 2009.Recently I called them and asked when will be the draw they replied me August 15/2009.But there is no draw still at all.So please drag the group to court and help the public to save from their cheating tricks.

    I have order for Gym bag and towel costing Rs.399. the transacction ID is 7770031964. its being almost 2 months i have not received the merchandise.the payment for the same was done at the time of placing the order. my several phone calls to customer care and emails could not get me the merchandise.

    Angry India Today Book Club Offer Promised on the phone and mail was never given

    Hi,
    I got a call from India Today Book Club to take a 12 Books pack + Holiday package + Return Air Fare for two. I asked them again and again if they have any different conditions and hidden costs thereafter, but I was told that there is no charges at all except Rs.2598, which I was supoosed to pay that time by credit card, on phone only by entering my credit card number and CVV2 number. The interface was not human and offer was looking attractive so I took the offer.
    I also reffered them to one of my friend, when they asked me for one reference and unfortunately he also took the offer.
    I was told that I can go for the holiday, just after getting the Invoice, followed by registering online. Also it was told that I can utilise the Air facility with the holiday package at the same time, by just giving a notice of 4 days in Advance. But.......
    When I actually got the offer and saw the details, I was totally shocked, they have all the conditions (to inform in 45 days advance, Rs.800 extra for the holiday package etc.)
    ITBC cheated me and now I need your help and suggestion. If I dont get any responce, I will definately take whatever Legal action I can by myself.
    I wont let them go by any means. If some one has a similar experience and can guide me how to tackle this one venture of so called Best Media House of India, please let me know.

    Dear sir
    I have orderd a reebok fitness kit to ITBC as adds on newspaper DAINIK BHASHKER JABALPUR dt. 28-03-09 & paid rs 3199/- by cradit card (bobcard) . cradit card bill say amount paid to LIVING MEDIA INDIA LTD. tran.dt. 29-03-09 & ref.no. 616617. payment confirmed on 30-03-09 booking i d given 7700052868 & membership no. given ITBC09979452. promissed to send the goods within 3 weeks but not sended. after sending lots of mail and expensive s.t.d. calls to 011-40502424 i was told goods sended on 2nd may 09 by dart mail courior (consignment no. 6127258826) but still unreceived. by replied e-mail ITBC always said the goods will be send very soon. i advised by them to make confirmation from datr mail & make lots of std calls to 0120-3069300 but no result at all. now on i made last call on 10-09-09 to 011-40502424 & some mr. azim khan (supervisor) told me that dartmail reported the goods been deliverd to me & nothing can be done. as i said him i did not found the matarial & ask him to mail if have recipt by me but denied.
    sir i sended them a legal notice on 19-09-09 but i did not get the acknowladgement & dont know either thay got the notice or not. i have mailed them a copy of the notice but no responce at all.
    sir now i feel cheated badly & dont know what to do? i spend a big amount to making long std calls to ITBC &DARTMAIL.
    sir now i looking for you to get help & protection of my consumer right.

    Send a written notice via registered post to the CMD of the parent company about your problem, mention all the complaints no. in it and ask them for the proper solution so that you will not face such type of problem again.

    Note: Do not forget to keep the slip of registered post in safe, it will help you if the parent company will not solve the issue with in the mention time of 15 to 20 days.:&

    at the outset let me tell u that ITBC has the world's most pathetic customer care service.

    now to the problem... i had done two bookings on 21 sep 09-- booking id 440008742 and 440008757 and did the payment using my credit card at the same time.

    this included a Samsung Star 3G phone (as told by customer service rep-sachin, and pankaj,senior DSR), a Reebok fitness kit, a 3d2nights holiday voucher plus return air tickets (including all taxes, as told by customer service rep), and a refund voucher of Rs 699/- which had been pending since my last transaction.i paid Rs. 9498/-. i RE-CONFIRMED, RE-RE-CONFIRMED, RE-RE-RE-CONFIRMED abt everything, specially the 3G phone and air tickets inclusive of taxes. the communication must be recorded in ITBC's crappy system.. so they shud check that up before trying to tell me something more pathetic.

    i requested the rep that i needed the items within 10 days, and he PROMISED me that they will reach within a week as he would put the case as URGENT.

    pankaj, the senior DSR also gave me three customer service nos, his own number.... also, sachin also gave me his number...

    now, this company is such a fraud, and full of bastards.... these bastard customer service reps' nos do not exist... the customer service nos 01204786900 and 18001024242 just do not exist.. and the 3rd no. 011-40502424 connects to the recorded voice menu, but never to the customer service rep!! i have tried some 50 times, and even held the call for 20-25 mins....

    after 28 days, i received a samsung star phone on 19th oct, instead of samsung star 3G phone... and i havent received anything else till now!!

    it was for a samsung home theatre system plus a samsung dvd player... and i was supposed to get a Kodak C180 digicam, 3D2N holiday voucher and flight tickets free... i was supposed to pay 7598/- while i was charged 7898/-. i havent even got that 300 /- refund till now which was charged wrongly

    i didnt receive anything till now... and none of ur bloody customer service nos connect...

    today i finally received samsung dvd player+HT system.. with a reebok watch.... what the fuck??

    where the hell is the digicam? and where are both the holiday vouchers and both sets of air tickets???

    does this company have any fucking sense or moral values??? they are just cheating consumers!!!

    I WANT AN IMMEDIATE REFUND OF MY MONEY, AND ITBC CAN COLLECT the ITEMS BACK....

    Exclamation Thanks! for saving me from India Today Book Club

    Folks! a big thank you to you. I was just going to place my order at ITBC when something prompted to go online and google them. I was shocked to see only negative feedback. NOTHING POSITIVE!
    Needless to say, I have decided not to procceed with the order.

    I think going by so many complaint threads it just shows that people should atleast do a google search if they recieve any online offer before ordering. BTW india today book club has been renamed to bagittoday probably to avoid all the publicity gained from previous name.

    Dear Team,
    I have booked a assignment( fitness kit ) on dt - 06th Dec'09 from ur concern.Till date i have not got my assignment on my resi address.While booking the same by my basic telephone no i have been passed with an order no. 880026464.Now request you to pls cancell the assignment and refund my payment of Rs.3199/- which i have paid the same via ICICI Credit card.

    Request ur urgent attention on the same.Now i just don't want to take the same and want to cancell the same.
