The police here has released photographs of 11 Pakistanis who went missing after entering India to watch a cricket match between India and Pakistan in Mohali this year.

A police spokesman said the 11 Pakistanis, among the several hundreds who had arrived in India via the Wagah border check post in March, had not reported to immigration authorities for going back to Pakistan.

He said the missing people had also not approached the Indian authorities for visa extension.

The photographs have been released to seek help from the public to identify them.

A police official said the manner in which the 11 went missing showed "their intentions were not good".

Cases against them were registered under the Passport Act at a police station here and attempts were being made to arrest them, the spokesman added.
