It will wrong to pay bribe and preach something else for Corruption
Eradication.

Applicant, Avinash Murkute, wants to set up office for his management
and marketing consultancy. He always abide by law. As on date he is
operating as freelancer. Now, he want to operate with business name.

Getting his business listed and obtain Shop and Establishment Act
license he has approached Shop & Establishment Act office along with
prescribed form at Shivaji Nagar Wakdewadi Pune office.

Officer named Dabade (We do not prefix Mr. in front of corrupt
officers) demanded 3000 Rs as fee in cash. Since applicant can't
afford to buy license for three years, fee of Rs. 700 was demanded by
this corrupt officer. Official fee or govt fee for this license is
Rs. 100/-.

As applicant do not wish to pay bribe, perhaps he don't have any paise
to pay bribe. He has filed 2 page written complaint to ACB Pune. After
few days, applicant visited o/o ACB Pune to confirm receipt of the
complaint. Complaint was dispacted by speed post.

Upon checking inward register, complaint was not received by ACB Pune.
Post office claimed it as delivered. Applicant sent postcard to ACB
Pune. And will be resending the complaint along with confirmation from
Postal department about delivery, again by speed post. Cost of
complaint for 2 pages DTP, printout, envelope, postage will be Rs 100
plus.


Yet, complainant is determined to fight corruption. Let us see, how
ACB Pune reacts to corruption complaint. ACB or even CBI prefers TRAP
than complaints.

If i do not get any response, I will use RTI and will try to make
process of labour office, transparent.


Since this is open complaint, i request to forward this e-mail to your
friends, officers, agencies and let the name of corrupt officer gets
wider publicity he deserves.
