Default Curtailing freedom: Threat to Indian internet users.

    The plan is simple.

Government never wants Activists and improvement groups to function.
Government wants people to remain sleeping over everything wrong that
they do in broad day light.

Anyone who is made a suspected terrorist has no chance of proving
that one is innocent Government and our system has everything to
throw dust into the eyes, cook anything, book anyone who they would
like irrespective of the fact one be a simple man in the street but if one
raises a voice over the wrong being done or starts a lobby group or
protests against what government may want people not to do then one
may be labeled as a terrorist.

And who would stop them of implanting a mail of their choice into
any mailbox when they take ISPs on their sides, lure or threaten
them. The world has become a negotiating ground where no values
or ethics play any role these days dear Jagannath ji...and who doesn't
know the pathetic level of honesty in our law and order machinery
    or system of providing justice.

    Dear Sirs,

After the blotched attempt to suppressing blogs, the Indian government is now
considering looking into the mailboxes of "suspected terrorists" as per a report
in todays TOI. Who is ensure that this clause, ostensibly for security measures,
will not be used for political vendetta? We have already seen how phone tapping
has been used for political gains. Ultimately moves to monitor the internet will
    affect us all.

I guess we may soon see Yahoo bending backwards to obey the orders of the
Indian government as they have done publicly in China and secretly in the US.

Instead of taking apropriate measures to curb the illegal use of the internet,
governments find it easier to impose blanket measures that affect all, including
genuine and serious users of the internet. The media too will favour this as all
over the world people are depending more on the internet for unbiased news,
resulting in falling sales of newspapers and TRP ratings of TV channels.

We should fight these moves by protesting and pointing out alternative methods
    to stop internet abuse.

    Regards,
