I wanted to bring into the notice of everyone about the rude behavior of auto drivers of Valappady in Salem district of tamilnadu - India. I asked one of them to come to vellagundam for carrying a luggage of grossery items and vegetables for our function. It was about 10-11 Km and they asked 220 RS, since it was too much so I told them I can give only 150 RS. Then I decided to call my brother to carry the luggase so I left. There were 3 autos and after sometime I went and asked the second auto, he also said the same and I came back. I didn't knew that all the three were friends. They sent a small boy to negotiate with the price and he kept bargaining. Finally i said that if you are coming for 150 then we can go. They said they will not come inside the village for 150. By that time my brother said he will come no need of auto, because they will not come inside the village, and I told the same to them. After 5 min the first auto driver came and shouted and started saying that "everyone will come and ask for that reason only we have spent 2.5 lakhs on auto". Then one more came started abusing in bad words. All the people are looking at me. I tried to explain them that only if both agrees for the fare, then only we can go. They are not listening at all. They are saying come and suck me. He started scolding my family too. All the three were using all kinds of bad words. They are saying that "every customer is opening my pant zip and wanted to suck mine". I was totally depressed and felt very ashamed. The police station was very near, but I was alone, so even if I make complaint I don't know I'll get justice there. Valappady is my taluk and I need to come for each and everything over there, so I'm afraid they may create problems. I was having "valakappu" for my wife the next day. This incident made me fully depressed. Action against those auto drivers should be taken. They threaten that you can't come here again. It seems they behaves with everyone the same. They are drunk and infront of everyone one tries to open the zip and said come and suck me. I need a justice and humanity for this, please someone help me for this.

Dont expect everytime, the cops will come & save u.
Every Indian Citizen has Right to protect himself / herself.

If next time, they happen to misbehave, Hit them a Tight slap.
And start calling people for help (Start shouting on the road)

I m sure he will never confront u....

This is true that the Autorikshaw & Taxi drivers starts misbehaving as we say them to go by meter or by a reasonable price.

When I first came to bangalore I didn't knew the places and distances.
It was around 10:30PM And As being a girl I decided to take a Taxi to reach the guest house safely. The driver showed me some govt marked and sealed papers about the rent and fare From and to the places. It also had timings marked showing that the auto and taxi drivers can charge us Double the rate after 8'o clock in the evening. So accordingly that Guy took Rs. 1000/- for around 20Kms.
When I reached the Guest house the owner thr told me to remember one thing not to take any taxi or auto anytime after 6 in the evening as it is the most riskiest way in bangalore, even for guys too.

Now Its been more than 1 and half year in bangalore but I have never found any Auto driver going by meter or by reasonable rate. Everyone ask for 1 and half or double the meter and when you ask the reason they say that "What Madam? We have to come empty auto and petrol will be wasted. So if you want to come then give us 1 and half the meter or double the meter".
In these many days I never understood that why every auto driver have the same reason of coming back empty auto.

And as a lady you can't even talk to them in loud voice otherwise they start abusing you.
And to a lady Slapping is also not possible coz if you are alone or at night they may gather thr friends and can do anything or any type of harm to you.
And to boys also thr are already many cases happened in bangalore.

So I don't think it is a good idea doing anything by our own hands, but the solution is to make complaints against them to Govt not to the police.

I was going to work on shared autorickshaw in khargar AREA NAVI MUMBAI from kendriyavihar sect 11 ,when the station came copassengers got down paying ,i was counting for the change ,when the autorickshaw started abusing me when i retaliated why he was using slangs he started hitting me and there was onother auto driver who came started hitting at me ,please see to the complain and take neccessary action against the union of auto rickshaw at that area ,they misbehave regularly with passengers.

Hi Sir,

While returning home from BEML gate to Malleshpalya on 4th Dec 2011, at around 10:30 p.m. The auto driver first of all charged extra amount and then when i argued with him for the same, he slapped me twice and ran away.

Please sir take fast and strict action against him. I respect Bangalore police and so writing this complaint. If you all don't take strict action for these type of people then it will be very un-safe for common people to stay in Bangalore
