Complaint against unauthorized and illegal withdrawal of money from my wife's ICICI bank savings account no. 055801518306

A/c Holder Name - Sonia Paresh Parekh
Address - 401, Harishivam Apt., 32 J P road, Andheri West, Mumbai-400058.

I wish to bring to your kind notice, that my wife is holding a savings Account No. 055801518306 in ICICI Bank (Infosys Branch, Mysore).
Since 21st August 2011, she has been with me in South Africa on work permit.

When we cross verified the ICICI bank statements, shockingly we discovered that -
On 1st October 2011, 7th October 2011, 20th October 2011 and 7th November 2011, there were ILLEGAL withdrawals made from her account as follows -

TOTAL AMOUNT ILLEGALLY WITHDRAWN Rs. 39,045.18/-

Since we were in South Africa during these dates, we have NEVER used the card to withdraw above amounts. So it clearly seems that it is a fraudulent withdrawal from the ICICI account.

I, Sonia Parekh (Account holder) categorically submit the following:
(a) I have never authorised anyone for abovesaid payment.
(b) I have no knowledge whatsoever about abovesaid withdrawal.
(c) In an illegal and unauthorised manner , money has been withdrawn from my ICICI bank account.
(d) As an account holder , ICICI bank has failed to ensure safety and security of my savings.

We being a salaried class employee, are unable to sustain such a huge unprecedented and unwarranted financial loss , grossly inflicted upon us by ICICI bank and we are in a state of mental distress and depression .

At this juncture we have been left with no option.
Do let us know what actions should we take to -
ensure ICICI bank refunds my wife's hard earned money into her savings account at the earliest
and this fraud doesn't happen again with us or anyone else.
