My SBI atm card was stuck inside a bank of india's atm machine during transaction. As the transaction was in process the machine automatically restarted and my atm was stuck inside the atm machine. I approached bank of india next morning and met the person responsible to handle such issues and then the bank manager. There i told the scenario and asked for some kind support as it happened due to there machines technichal problem. Then in responce i was told that it's a RBI rule that no atm's stuck inside a machine should be returned, rather it should be destroyed, if found, by the bank. Then further I was told that if it would have been a bank of India's atm then they would have considered, as its a SBI atm they wont do any thing regarding this issue.
Now this is what i found objectionable..
Firstly, it was an issue created because of there machines failure, why should i be charged again for a new atm card.
And secondly, Bank of India's statement that they would have considered if it would have been there banks arm card.

Please guide me what should I do know for getting my rights.
