    Default Compaint against the PNB BANK

    Dear Sir,
    I am an account holder of pnb savings account no. 4557000400002746.

    On October 8th 2010 I used my ATM card to withdraw an amount of Rs.14,500 through PNB ATM (Tambaram). The PNB ATM ID is D1395800.

    The money got struck but my account got deducted for the amount of Rs.14,500.

    On the same day I made complaint to the bank manager and I was reported that the money will be credited bank with in 24 hours or 2 working days.

    On October 14th I made a complaint to the customer care toll free number with a compliant number 50636748. They said the money will be refunded with in 12 working days.

    The money was not reversed back after 12 working days so I gave remainders for several times to the customer care.

    Even after 20 days the money has not reversed back.

    I request you to consider this case and take necessary actions .

    Contact your local NGO or directly file one RTI application to Bank, address is:
    Central Public Information Officer
    Head Office: Punjab National Bank.
    MARD, 2nd Floor, Rajendra Bhawan,
    Rajendra Place,
    New Delhi- 110008

    give a reference in application for following directive from RBI:
    circular No. RBI/2009-2010/100 - DPSS No.101/02.10.02/2009-2010 dated 17-07-2009 in the matter of reconciliation of transactions at ATMs failure – Time limit, wherein it has been mandated to compensate to the customer Rs.100/- per day for delay beyond 12 days from date of receipt of complaint by the bank for failed ATM transaction i.e. where account is debited but no cash is paid at ATM. This amount has to be compensated by bank with amount of failed transaction, even when customer has not claimed compensation. On this basis please supply me the information the full details of the officer who is handaling this complaint. Time limit set by you to resolve this complaint.
