When i inserted a atm card in atm machine then 15000/- get debited from my account but i have not received any cash. on dated 20 Jan 2009.
I registered a complaint at bank but no one is properly responding.
According to RBI Rule ATM issues must be settled within 12 day. Now more than 90 days are over but no response from branch.
I have a student saving account with SBI Bank .

Branch Name = Jilhapeth branch (in front of stadium)

Date of incident = 20 Jan 2009
Amount Debuted = 15000/-
I need this money to pay my brother's school fees. I have lots of pressure from my family . Please do the needful. Everybody from my family is shouting on me. I very mentally disturbed and this is imapacting on my studdies . if this issue is not get resolve it may possible that i and my brother my loose one education year.

Hello sir,

I have made a transaction in CITI bank ATM for Rs.500/- on 21, july 2009.
But still now I have not received that amount. I approached the CITI bank manager and reported about this, but he is not giving a proper response. He told me to give a complaint in my branch of IOB which is in keelkatallai. I did according to his words and gave a written complaint, but there was no response from my IOB bank and also from that CITI bank too.

I am toiling everyday to make that money but they are easily rejecting that money and my words, so please help me and do the needful. I am so much frustrated on this, and i spent lot of money to travel here and there for this issue.

Today when withdrawal of 500 from National Game village , Punjab National Bank
response has come out as "TIME OUT" but the money is debited from my HDFC account.

sir i have withdrawn money from central bank of india but i couldnt get money even if the amount was lesse.the amount worth rs 4000.i am having pnb account.

I, Chetan Thakkar, have an account in your Central Bank and have an debit card no. 504437xxxx10761x. I had used this debit card in PNB ATM at Gurukul Road, Oxford Tower Ahmedabad (Terminal Id: AHMD226803) on 11/11/2009, 15:47 hours. The ATM did not gave out the cash, even though it had the required balance. On checking the balance, I found it had debited the amount from my account. I raised this issue with security guard on duty (Mr. Baldevbhai Thakor).

Then, I immediately registered the complain with your call center and they told me that amount will be credited to my account within 24 hours. They also asked me to report this to nearest bank branch to be doubly sure. I did the same, and reported this to Drive-In Branch, Ahmedabad. Here also, they told me I would get my amount back in 24 hours.

Today, its been more than 10 days and the amount has not been credited back to my account. Please let me know the status of the transaction as soon as possible.

sir when we had approached the manger on that day he told that we are not having excess amount and he told that if u want go to court and file the case go oon and he had talked with us very rashly so
sir please kindly help me how to get my money back

I wish to bring to your notice a serious issue with ATM transactions (Vijaya Bank).

I used my Vijaya Bank to withdraw Rs 1500 from Vijaya Bank ATM located in Andheri (w), versova, mumbai, India. After punching in my PIN and the amount to withdraw, the ATM worked on for a while and finally the transaction was declined. I was stunned later to find that my account was debited with Rs 1500 even though the cash did not dispense but gave the receipt "Transaction Declined" after few minutes halt. The bank employee were however were not so courteous when i reported this matter to them and asked me to give a complaint in written but no proper assurance.

I also want to know that are such problems a "Technical Glitch" or a "Hackers Activity" kinda stuff??


Please let me know if you have any suggestions to solve this issue or at least other means to make other people be aware of such problems.

The problem is that I was not received any cash because incorrect-system-operation but it was deducted in my HDFC A/c 09621140000517 compliment Number is 107306 amount is 10000(5000 + 5000) .

Kindly credit 10000 in my account urgently basis ……..

Kindly let me know when it will credit in my account I need money because I am in TATA hospital kindly do needful urgent basis …….

In such cases, the disputed amount is typically credited to the customer’s account within 12 days, provided we receive no proof from the other bank (Central Bank of India in this case) that the amount has been dispensed successfully.

I have account in Punjab national Bank, Parwanoo HP Branch.

On 01/10/2010 an excess amount of 5034 Rs. deducted from my OD limit account NO.2912009900000080 while paying for service of my car to M/S Berkeley Automobile Panchkula, through swapping of ATM card.
Instead of deducting actual amt of Rs.2517.00, a amount of 7551.00 got deducted (three transactions took place). Berkeley has received only Rs.2517.00 only as confirmed through the statement of their bank HDFC.
Despite my regular follow up through ph. no.18001802222 & to local branch amount has not be credited to my account. (Complain number through toll free number is 50322176 dt.04/10/2010)

Kindly get it done at earliest. I am loosing on interest as amount got deducted from OD limit account.

People let me tell you one thing. Banks keep telling about using ALL atms in all branches, but it is best and wise to Use in the bank where the atm card belongs.since in such situations the money is reversed back immediately.The non RETRACT of cash is due to network problems.In circumstances where the money is not retracted then wait for 24 hours and see if the money is there in the account if it has not come along with the receipt lodge a compliant in the nearest bank of the bank from which the card is issued.normal circumstances it would be done in 2-3 days.Then again it all depends on the people working and how efficiently they give.State bank of india is one bank where they give the worst customer service and least care for such issues.
