Default double debit for one withdawal through ATM

    Dear Sir/Madam,

My son G.NITIN, studying in IITM is having a savings account (20003856232) with IITM branch of SBI.
He has used canara bank ATM in IITM campus itself ( near gurunath complex) on29.01.2010 for withdrawal of Rs.1100/- but when the mini statement was taken from the ATM it showed withdrawal of Rs 1100 on 29.01.2010 and another withdrawal of Rs 1100 on 30.01.2010 which was not done.

He has registered a complaint to the same SBI Branch with proper documents i.e. transaction slips etc.
The complaint number given by SBI authorities was AT429271133.His creadit card no is 6220180105500172355
Till date the acount has not be corrected.

Hence it is requested to sole the problem at the earliest.

Default No cash recd from ATM but recd a ATM slip stating the transaction was successful !

I have a savings account with ICICI bank and I had withdrawn Rs. 700 on 18.11.2009 from the ICICI ATM and due to the problem of the ATM machine (which was not known before), I got the receipt that Rs.700 is withdrawn but I didn't get the cash. The ATM also displayed the message that it is out of service and unable to dispatch the money, but it gave this message only after I had swiped the card in the ATM machine. I then withdrew the same amount from another ATM machine. However, the first transaction is not reversed for me by the bank. I logged a complaint and the reference no is SR125286442. My account balance should increase by Rs. 700 at the earliest. I now get an email from ICICI bank that the amount cannot be reversed as their electronic journal shows it as a successful transaction. I really do not understand why should I bear the loss due to the inefficient and pathetic systems of the bank...Pls let me know what can I do about this...
