Loss of HDFC Debit Card - Fradulent transactions Hello,
I lost my debit card and I was not aware of it. When I received an SMS that there was a charge on my HDFC debit card, I realised that my card was missing and I called HDFC phone banking and cancelled by debit card immediately.
Alas somebody had compromised by DEbit card and used it to by diesel at about 4 bunks amounting upto 17,840 Rs.
I was then instructed to the bank and they advised me to provide
1. a police complaint indicating the loss of card and the list of fraud transactions
2. Fill in a Cardholder dispute form
3. Fill in a complaint in 200 Stamp paper regarding the lost/stolen debit card
I have got an acknowledgement from HDFC bank for the receipt of the docs and told that in about a month's time the money would be credited into my account.
After about 3 months and me repeatedly calling them, they came back to me indicating that the documents were not in order and also that since there was no transaction done at a retail outlet before , they would not be able to refund me the money and after several attempts to get an explanation, they have not replied to my pleas.
Please suggest how to get my money back from HDFC bank.

i got one debit card n holder name is ruchi bhatia maybe belogs to kanpur sir, i found one debit card of ruchi bhatia maybe belongs to kanpur, i want her address or contact no. to send this. please help me n her, debit card no. is 5264190120449839 please help.

Please file at mastercard or visacard who are the priciple providers of debit cards.
The mastercard or visacard has a facility wherin they can check the transaction done and at which place. The merchant who swipes such a debit card is more at risk , 2nd who is the principle looser is the debit card holder.
The person who has misused the card can be tracked down by the merchant copy. The signature by the misuser cannot tally with the owner of the debit card. AT THE SAME TIME : AN ALERT TO ALL SWIPE MACHINE HOLDERS ACCROSS INDIA. Verify the debit card owners id before swiping by asking the swipe card customer to present his pancard which makes it doubly sure that the person who has come with the debitcard is the authorised owner itself. Being cautious is good for the trader as well as the debit card owner.
also please note : every bank has a toll free number in their atm counter. For Example: you are the owner of a bob card , if you have lost a bank of baroda card in an axis bank atm, make sure you rush to the nearest bank of baroda atm counter find out the toll free number of BOB , call them immediately and get it blocked. This is very mcuh possible and services are available by the bankers from 8am to 10pm at night.
Money wise , be wise is the mantra. Be carefull and play safe. Being careless hurts.

lost of HDFC ATM CARD Hello SIR/MADEM,
I loose my debit card today evening.I complaint for this.
my acc no 06141000008029 .Please immediately block the card.
And i will went to the bank next morning and them about the HDFC ATM CARD
So Pleast block the card as soon as possibe and give me the list of fraud transactions.
