Dear All,
To save time we use such online agents, some of the disadvantages are as follows:
This companies do not have their help-desk at airport.
No customer call support, their support are IVR based.
Their e-tickets information are incomplete.
Airliners do not take responsibilities of these agents.
Recently, I booked my flight to Hyderabad from Mumbai through Make My Trip. Flight was of Air India.
I was on time at Mumbai Domestic Airport and came to know from help-desk of Air India that flight will depart from International Airport.
I missed my flight, There was no intimation of Domestic/International airport on make my trip e-ticket. When checked e-ticket of Air India departure from International airport was specified.
I loss my money & time.
After doing loads of follow-up, I got refund of 75% amount of flight that was missed. No compensation for my delay & other flight.

Hello,
Kindly share the Booking ID provided to you so we may retrieve details of your reservation. You are requested to email the same to triphelp@makemytrip.com.
Regards,
MakeMyTrip Care
Thanks for your reply, the matter was closed through email conversations with (MMT) customer care team.
Please clarify one point here, non-refundable was stated in MAKEMYTRIP e-ticket but actually it was refundable as confirmed by Air India staff.
So why MMT specify as non-refundable?
Regards,
Asif

Booked a non-refundable ticket and didn`t fly? You won`t lose your money any longer.
Passengers can now cancel their non-refundable air tickets until two hours before departure and get a refund of taxes, fuel surcharge, passenger service fee and user development fee. This means a flyer stands to get back Rs 1,300 to Rs 3,800, depending on the distance and the fare. Fuel surcharge varies from Rs 1,000 for a short-haul domestic flight to Rs 3,500 for a long-haul journey. Most low-cost carriers charge Rs 229 as passenger service fee and Rs 103 service tax.
The decision, a long-standing demand of flyers, was made after talks between airlines and the Civil Aviation Economic Advisory Council last month. Also, full-service airlines have cut their cancellation fees.
"This is a big relief for passengers, especially for those buying round trip tickets" said passengers association president D Sudhakara Reddy. "Those taking round trip tickets were losing money even if they missed only one leg of the journey."
Travel agents said that full service airlines have reduced the cancellation fee. " Air India now charges Rs 150 for cancellation of a domestic ticket. Jet Airways charges a flat rate of Rs 750 for the lowest fare," said Prema Radhakrishan of Emerald Airways.
Reddy said a working group on regulatory framework and the Civil Aviation Economic Advisory Council were able to address the long-pending issues such as lack of transparency in fares printed on ticket, high spot fares and appointment of ombudsman.
The working group also discussed the need to address high aviation turbine fuel taxes, airport charges, aeronautical navigational service charges and other costs that would increase fare levels.
I wanted to book a one way ticket from Bhubaneswar to Delhi for 4th Nov 2011.
The ticket was for Rs 3483 under MakeMyTrip Special category.
I proceeded to make the payment. The payment was successful but I got an email saying the booking failed and the amount will be refunded and that it was a one-off incident.
I thought maybe there was some browser issue and tried booking again through another laptop and another browser.
This time again the payment was done and the booking failed.
I tried calling customer care. After more than 20 minutes wait, a lady named Ashima answered my call. She said that the flight may not be available anymore and thats why booking failed.
After vainly talking to her, my call was transferred after another 10 minutes hold to another person named Mandeep Singh and then I was transferred to another senior guy. All this while I was on call for an hour without a resolution and forever on hold.
If there is no availability in the flight, it should not be visible to the customer. It was not only visible but I could make payments against that flight.
The same flight was shown as available during search even after two hours.
There website is faulty and their customer care is pathetic.
I have been inconvenienced. My date of journey was day after tomorrow and now I am stuck with two deductions over Rs 7000 from my account and no booking.
Meanwhile, the flight cost has increased on all other travel websites. For a fault on MakeMyTrip's website, I am being penalised unnecessarily.
I want to log a complaint against MakeMyTrip for misleading customers into buying flight tickets that do not exist and causing huge inconvenience with respect to time and money.
