Air India Saturday made alternate arrangements when a Dubai-bound flight from here made an emergency landing immediately after take-off in the morning.

"The flight took off at 9 a.m. in the morning but soon had to return when the fire alarm sounded inside the aircraft," an Air India spokesperson told.

"We got a replacement aircraft that took off at 6.30 p.m. with all the 109 passengers on board," he added.

Reports indicate there was some problem in the air conditioning system of the grounded aircraft. Technicians have now begun work to fix the problem.
