Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Thursday said his government would provide Air India with 15 acres of land in this state capital for an aircraft maintenance unit.
The decision to hand over the land before Nov 25 was taken at the weekly cabinet meeting.
Speaking to reporters, Chandy lashed out the opposition for "baseless allegations" that the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) had not done anything for the airport here.
"We would like to know what the Left Democratic Front government did during their tenure. We are the ones who handed over 27 acres of land for the first phase of airport expansion here and now we are on the final stages for handing over land for the second phase of development," he said.
