Hi,

I booked a Spicejet ticket from Calcutta to delhi having a departure on 7th march'09 at 06:45 a.m. through makemytrip.com . There was a 50% cash back offer on basic fare. (basic-200 and taxes arnd 3100). so i was suppose to get a cash back of around Rs1000 . I booked my ticket from net banking (which the site has a provision for payment along with debit card payment and credit card etc..)

Now when i am calling makemytrip.com customer care they are saying that the offer is valid for payments only through debit and credit card n not through net banking.

But if we go by there terms n conditions, nothing has been mentioned about net banking.

Here are the exact copy of terms and conditions:

SpiceJet 50% Cash Back Offer - Terms and Conditions

1. This Cash Back offer is valid for all Indian credit/debit card holders and on all
SpiceJet tickets purchased between March 2, 2009 and March 31, 2009.

2. The Cash Back will be calculated as 50% of the basic fare, excluding taxes and
service fees.

3. The Cash Back offer is not valid for infant bookings.

4. The Cash Back amount will be credited to the same credit card as was used
for the purpose of making the purchase within 7 working days of the date of
completion of travel. The Cash Back amount will reflect in the monthly credit
card statement.

5. Cancellations and re-bookings are permitted under the Cash Back offer. The
same will attract regular airline and MakeMyTrip.com cancellation and
re-booking charges.

6. This Cash Back offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offer
from MakeMyTrip.com.

7. Prior to using the MakeMyTrip.com website, the credit/debit card holder must
read and understand the User Agreement of MakeMyTrip.com and proceed to
make purchases only if the credit/debit card holder agrees to abide by the
same.

8. The credit/debit card holder will be required to give personal information and
credit card details when booking and purchasing tickets online on
makemytrip.com The credit/debit card holder must read and understand
the Privacy Policy on the MakeMyTrip.com website, prior to providing such
information.

9. Travel Agents by occupation are barred from buying tickets for their customers
using their own credit/debit cards. MakeMyTrip.com reserves the right to
cancel such tickets if such a case comes to its notice.

10. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with or as a result of this Cash
Back offer will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in Delhi
only.

11. MakeMyTrip.com reserves the right to withdraw the Cash Back offer at any
time without prior notice.


The customer care says that it is assumed that net banking will not give me cash back.
