I booked a flight from Pune - Bangalore on October 1, 2009 - 18:45. The flight had been cancelled, infact the route itself had been dropped for about a week. I was not informed at all. I had to find this out in the airport. At the airport, the Kingfisher staff informed me that they had informed my travel agent (makemytrip.com) and they had not informed me.
I was to catch an International flight from Bangalore and my whole trip got delayed by a day.
The next day after reaching Bangalore, I called up makemytrip and Kingfisher about the refund. Both told me that my status was a "No Show" and I would be applied a cancellation charge. When I asked them "How come you apply a cancellation charge on me when you cancelled the flight and How come my status is 'No show' when there was no flight at all?", their reply was "Thats what the system shows". Then the Kingfisher female I had talked to consulted her superior and told me that I would be given a full refund. The explanation she gave for not informing me (new explanation on the next day) was that my phone was busy.
This is the most horrible I have had with an airline.
Can someone help me with the procedure to file a complaint? i am currently based in Pune. I would also like to know the compensation I can claim from them.
