I had unfortunately purchased a Videocon Split A/C 1.5 T in Apr 2010 fromSadana Electronics Lucknow..
After a little over 1 year the cooling completely stopped inJuly 2011. I lodged a complaint and the service centre person came and took itaway to the service centre for repair and charged me 2550/- . However the sameproblem arised after 2 days of the initial repair for which they again tookaway the outer and inner units separately and again billed me for 2550/- ( theysaid they are changing some tubes both the times and charged me 2550/- eachtime totaling 5100/-).
This year 15 days ago the cooling again stopped and again on mycomplaint the service engineer came and very conveniently said that the sameproblem has again arrived and gave me a rough estimate of 3000/- beforecharging 350/- as the visiting charge. NOW… the question in totality is whetherthe Videocon AC as a product is a failure so that within two years I have tospend over 8000/- and still after just 2 years it again is not working or theService centre is highly incompetent that they are not able to fix a problem ,as the same problem arises 2 times in a span of 1 week last year and again thisyear and each time Iam supposed to pay for that. Just imagine I have to pay asrepair over 30% of the cost of my new AC in 26 months of buying it and bear allthe inconvenience and hassles associated with it.
On top of this I am also at the receiving end of the highly unprofessionalbehavior of the service centre staff who never came at their committed date ,leave alone time, and I have to follow up to them with various phone calls .
I am fed up of this poor service and the poor quality of thisbrand new A/C.
I demand a replacement instead of this A/C as I have facedenough problems and the engineers have only wasted my time and money and theproblem still remains and even some new problems have been created.
