    Default Voltas A/C gas, Water leakage and Icing Problem

    Dear Concern,
    This complaint is respect to the Voltas split A/c 1.5 ton (1.5 TV Platina sr no. 4551139C10D000143) which was bought in the month of March 2011. The Product was installed in some what April first week. after 5 months there was an insufficient cooling issue on the basis of which i registered a complaint. The technician found an minor LEAKAGE which they were unable to spot it. For the same, they suggested to take Outdoor and Indoor to service center to repair it, which I denied and asked for the replacement, as it was hardly 4 months passed i buyed it for 25000 rs. + installation cost of 1900 rs.
    The branch manager Mr. Mithoon das of Voltas, Spoked with me and insisted for the product to be repair whixh on the commitment of Mr. Mithoon of getting product replaced if any minor or major problem occur in future.
    Hence, the product was taken by the technician and was repaired.
    But there was no sufficient cooling as it was earlier and also after few days, Icing issue occured. Both Outdoor and Indoor was full of water and Ice, but no cooling. Technician visited thrice and saw the problem personally.
    Now as per the commitment made by Mr. Mithoon, we asked for the replacement of the product, which they are now not accepting.

    Pls help us in the above matter, with the replacement of the Product or by getting return the Money along with the Installation cost which i earn by bleeding my sweat

    I wonder what's wrong with Voltas. There was a time when it was supreme but off-late they have been on declining spiral and brands like Daikin Samsung LG have outgrown.

    Default Issues with Voltas Vertis Platina Split 1.5 A/C

    I have a similar problem with my Voltas Split A/C. I bought the Air Conditioner on March 31, 2011 and it was installed on April 3, 2011. Model Type: Voltas Vertis Platina Model Number: 4551139C10P003821 Serial Number: 4511156P10F011981. Purchased at Pirgal Electronics (Kukatpally) wide Invoice No: 26492, invoice dated 31/03/2011 We have 7 Service slips since the time the Air Conditioner was installed, all related to low cooling, ice formation & fan rotar issues. There has been no reprise from the issues that we have faced. I feel cheated having bought this Airconditioner and to add to the woes, they have a really unfriendly customer support staff and the incompetent A/C Repair technicians team.Pasting below the recent email exchange I have had with them in this regard. Send these emails after repeated failed attempts to get them to address our service request. I feel they are doing this because they know it is a serious problem and the Air - Conditioner warranty is going to expire on March 31, 2012. I am surprised that your products still sell in the market in spite of the poor Product Quality, the pathetic after sales service, your unfriendly and uncooperative customer support and the unknowledgable technicians. From the experience we have had, I think this has been the worst ever electronics purchase decision by far. Within 2 month of purchase we had to get the unit replaced, because of issues with the Fan Rotor and low cooling. There has literally be no turning back ever since. 13 complaints in the past 12 months. All the technicians do - clean the filter, put some water in the drains, throw around dirt and muck around the place / room and leave in a hurry. We have had issues with cooling and water leakage ever since, the last complaint was raised 5 days ago, and a Technician (Mr. Asad) from Cooling Tech Services came by the next day of the complaint being raised. Looked the Air-Conditioner said it needs a Drain Pipe Replacement and he did not have it. Promised to come the next day with the drain pipe. As promised, he did come with the drain pipe the next evening and then figured out that is a problem with how the Air-Conditioner (inner Unit) is fitted. He said he did not have a drill and will come back the next day with the drill. Its been 3 days since that commitment. No response. On trying to call him repeatedly, he finally got on the phone today and says, we will have top lodge the complain again and also speak to his boss about the repair. We are seriously annoyed by this uncanny and uncouth response. I called the customer service number - 18004254555 and spoke to Ms. Sonam, who said the complaint is work in progress. I seriosly surprised by how a Brand like Voltas, which is run by the so called Big Band wagon TATAs, who claim to be the most sincere and ethical business houses can play Dirty games like these and play around with customers and the money. It is all the more surprising how your technicians do not carry the required material / items when they are out attending service calls. Having said all of that I have stated, all I want to say is, I want the Air-Conditioner to be repaired TODAY. If I do not have a satisfactory response from people in your team in the next 2 Hours, please be well prepared to be dragged to the Consumer Court and let's fight it out there. You are not doing any one a favor by providing service (which you all anyways fake), you have charged hefty amounts and we deserve to be provided the moneys worth. NOTHING WAS ACTUALLY DONE. THE AIR - CONDITIONER is in the same condition that it was in. NO COOLING WHAT SO EVER.Find below my response to the Voltas team after the service technician visited my house and went away doing nothing but left the home stained because of spilling water all around.Hi Ved, Your technicians were considerate enough to come home when you send this request. However, the issue remains.All your technicians do is come pour some water in the external unit, some in the internal unit say its not leaking and the leak should have been the cause for the LOW COOLING and go away. I have not signed the service request for this time and we have the Air Conditioner on for about 2 hrs since the technician left. There seems to be ABSOLUTELY NO IMPROVEMENT in the cooling scenario. Its still not cooling. What's the use of having an Air - Conditioner run and bloat up the Electricity costs when it is not serving the purpose it needs to be.IT IS HIGHLY DISGUSTING TO SEE THE VOLTAS TEAMS APPROACH TO THIS COMPLAINT.
