I am very terriefied of carrier aircon pvt limited. I own a carrier window
air conditioner which I bought on 26th May, 2004. I started facing problems
with my Ac first in April 2009. The compressor of the AC was under 5 years
warranty which expired on 25th May 2009. I reported to the company in April
itself about flaw in the AC that its compressor tripped after sometime. A
technician from a service franchisee of carrier, Frosco India Ltd. came to
my place and said that the compressor requires a change. Since my Ac was
under warranty they agreed to change the compressor but asked for Rs. 3000 +
Rs 300 as a charge for gas filling. I had no other option to pay them. They
lifted my AC from my place and brought it back with a new compressor after 4
days. The new compressor was not of carrier but of some other company by the
name of Toshiba. I questioned the techinician even during the delivery that
the compressor was different from the original but he said that company
provides this compressor only. Again, I had no option than taking my AC
back. On the very same day of delivery, I found same problem in my AC of
compressor tripping. I was very annoyed this time. The technician came after
2 days and took my AC back. They came again after 5 days and still the
problem persisted in my AC. Sir, in total the same story happened for 5
times, i.e., my AC was taken 5 times and the entire process took 1 month and
8 days. During the entire process I talked to lowest executive in carrier to
the highest official, Mr. Vipin, who is the senior service Maanager in
carrier. The company gave false promises. I have all 5 slips with me as a
proof that my AC was lifted for 5 times. Sir, the problems that I have faced
with the comapny are:


- Bad handling of my air conditioer, its cooling coil fins and condendor
fins are pressed in a very bad manner. Everytime, a seating rickshaw was
used (one on which people sit)to carry my AC to workshop.
- A lot of wastage of my time, 5 times of aircondiner lifting meant that
I had to come back from my office for 10 times. One time for lifting and
other time during delivery.
- Phone calls to carrier staff, from lowest to senior most person of
worth more than Rs 200. I can take out details of my bill to prove this
- Very unprofessional service in terme of everytime false commitment. How
can a company like carrier trouble its costomers for 5 times and deliver the
AC without even properly checking it.
- A lot of tension. I was not able devote my time to my work in a 100%
manner.
- I had to sleep under a just a ceiling fan for over one month in this
hot season.
- Last but not the least, the reason why I am writing this letter, the
compressor of the Ac doesn't work now. It worked for approximately one month
but does't work anymore. Earlier it worked but tripped after sometime. Now i
does,t even start.

Sir, I am very upset with Carrier India Pvt limited and want a serious
action to be taken against them as they have trubled me to the deepest
extent. I am taking your help now because i am in no position of calling
them again and again and wasting my time and money. If I contact them, they
say that I will have to pay 500 Rs. first then only someone woulld check my
AC. They are very unprofessional and are incapable of providing good
service.
