    Default About WhirlPool AMC Service

    hi to all

    i've taken an AMC from Whirlpool from my AC. Now i want to get my AC
    serviced bfore to be used. I got 1'st service request registered on
    5'th march. they said they will send thier engineer in 24 hours. no
    body did come till 11'th march.then i phoned them again on 11'th n ask
    for service,they again said today our engineer will vistit at ur
    place.No body came.Since 11'th March i m phoning them twice a day n
    they r answering the same .Now i m feeling very frustrated.
    Can something be done against Company or who ever is responsible for
    this put off action. i want some suggestions.

    Few companies have made a profit centre by having AMC for a electrical appliance
    like AC / refrigerator/ washing machines etc. They charge heavily for the
    persons whose products are out of AMC & more than one year old like service
    charges of RS. 350 /- per visit

    When you buy a new appliance it is already in full warranty till one year and 6
    year warranty for compressor for AC & refrigerator. So AMC proposition seems to
    be not value added proposition and is extra expenditure on us.

    Any company offering AMC on appliances like AC, refrigerator etc. means that
    they make poor quality product. If you read fine print of a AMC contract,
    anything damaged due to voltage fluctuation will not be covered under AMC. All
    equipment manufacturers advice us to use external voltage stablizer if your area
    is prone to extensive fluctuation. No other part gets damage while in operation
    other than compressor of AC & refrigerator or motor of washing machine. All
    other parts are available at nearby electrical goods shop.

    And to add whirlpool has worst service record for any equiment. It took 15 days
    for a engineer to come to our place from whirlpool service centre to repair our
    refrigerator which went bust within 3 years of operation.

    I suspect their quality now.

    My advice to you is to go to their website and lodge the complaint giving all
    details of AMC etc. or if they have helpline no. lodge complaint taking your
    request no.

    This happened to me as well, when I purchased
    whirlpool washing machine on 2nd Oct 2007 but you I
    was able to use the machine only after a week because
    delay by the service engineer, even I tried to contact
    whirlpool(dir) searched in the net it leads to some
    foreign site. Later I called up the showroom from
    where I purchased said Boss I returning the piece
    because service engineer has n't visited yet.
    Immediately the same evening around 7 PM he came did
    the needful. You need to be little harsh then it
    works.

    Hello!
    I own a washing machine & two refridgerator of whirlpool.
    And for one refridgerator and washing machine i have given annual maintainance contract to whirlpool but that is of no use because every time one engineer comes to our place and say that i have to take your unit to the service station and you have to pay for the spares etc as per my knowledge “amc” means to keep the things running not to take them to some service station for three four days and let us in trouble .

    i've taken an AMC from Whirlpool for my washing machine.
    I have extended my warranty and I got 1'st service request registered on
    23 Dec. the chennai people said they will send thier engineer in 24 hours. no
    body came till 27'th dec. then i phoned them again on 27'th n ask
    for service,they again said today our engineer will vistit at ur
    place.No body came.Since 27'th dec, i m callinng them twice a day n
    they r answering the same .Now i m feeling very frustrated.
    Can something be done against this Company or who ever is responsible for
    this put off action. i want some suggestions.
