    Default SAMSUNG Split AC problem



    Dear All,
    I purchased split AC on 26th Jan 09. After the five months AC was giving cooling problem. I lodged complaint on May 09. First, technician came and cleaned the filter but after cleaning AC again it was giving cooling problem. This was happened 4 times. Technician comes he cleaned indoor and outdoor unit and goes. But problem was not solved. Then I asked him to replace the unit. In that time they sent their sr. Technician, he checked thoroughly and found the gas was completely leaked. He filled the gas and he assured me that you won’t get this problem further.
    From October – February my AC was completely off. In March 2010, I cleaned the air filter and restarted it. But still it is giving the Cooling problem. I logged the complaint #8410509429 with Ms. Julie in SAMSUNG call center. After 2 days technician (Mr. Rafique) came and checked out and found that gas was completely leaked. I asked SAMSUNG person (Mr Ram -9930140609 and Mr. Anil- 9867586964) to replaced the unit or fill the gas without any cost because they weren’t solved the problem of gas leakage in my last complaint. But they told me that your warranty is completed and it is not possible.
    I suggest all of you that not to buy AC from Samsung they are defective and do not cool. Very lethargic service and no customer orientation.
    Also suggest me how to get replacement of AC from SAMSUNG

    Post Samsung Split AC not cooling

    Hi,

    Im facing the same problem. Since the day I have purchaesd the AC, its not functioning properly. I purchased it in the month of MAy 2010. Samsung AC is defective. No service proffesional has come despite repeated complaints. Service is extremely poor. I would watn people against buying Samsung Acs. They look good but do not function at all. An AC with ordinary looks and more cooling is anytime more preferable than a flashy non-functioning device. I have wasted 33,000 on this latest Samsung model.

    Default Samsung Window AC nightmare

    Hi, Even their window AC is pathetic. Mine worked exactly for 1 year that too very limited use. 3 months back the fan blow was very weak lodged a complaint and nearly 2 weeks later a guy turns up saying the capcitor is gone and replaces for 400 RS. 1 month later cooling is totally gone, again after complaining one week later a guy turns up and says that there is a blockage in compressor and want me to pay 2500 RS. I have deceided to throw this and get a new split AC definetly not Samsung even a air cooler does a better job than the ACs these guys manufacture.

    Default Samsung Split A/C 1.5 Ton

    Dear Sir,

    I brought home a Samsung Split A/C 1.5 Ton capacity on Oct'2010.
    The A/C worked fine when it was installed and for quite a few days from then. Since Nov-Dec are relatively colder months in chennai A/c was very rarely used during this period. After these 2 months we started using the A/C regularly then we faced certain issues with its cooling as it was not happening. Even if it runs for hours it does not cools the room and brings the temp down to a mere 24 degree Celsius. Then i called up the customer care and they then inspected it with the local service provider person. He took the a/c for a repair stating its compressor has failed and needs to be replaced. Since it is under warranty it took nearly 15 days to get the A/C installed back at home. Then everything was fine of-course for a few days (not even months). The same problem and thus the same solution even this time. The routine of A/C issue - contacting CC - compressor replacement happened 3 time within a few weeks. At last the third time replacement lasted a little longer (this time in months).
    After a few months the same problem occurred again. Again i called the Customer Care and they replaced me the compressor as usual.
    After a year after i brought the A/c the same problem appeared. This is high time that i am facing issues over issues on this A/C. Whenever we run it during hotter days this equipment fails to chill us out, then what is the need for me in investing on it? The tension in me rose to its peak and shouted at the customer care and escalated this issue. A new problem this time was my a/c's one yr. prescribed warranty had expired by now. The senior spokesperson (technician may be) called me over phone and argued for the charges that will be applied this time on my a/c. This time they dint tell me that compressor has failed but said the gas has leaked out. I wonder how gas is getting escaped from an a/c which runs so rarely at my home. I argued with him saying i have not at all used his product at its peak level. Whenever i run it had given me only troubles instead of chilled air. The technician then forwarded his call to another person (Sr. Supervisor / Head, i think). This person then agreed to do it without accepting any charges from me. Then the a/c was again back to the repairing shed for 7 days. Then the person again installed the a/c and asked me to pay Rs.2500 as transportation charges that have incurred. I then again called back to the Sr. Head person, to whom i had talked earlier and then argued for charges revisal (to make it free of cost). After a half an hour long discussion (fight rather), the head was telling me that we would also get back your product but would give only 70-80% of the amount as refund , as i insisted him to take away his defective, poor quality product. At last, he accepted and finally concluded me saying the since your A/c's compressor was at fault we have replaced it this time without accepting any fee from you . I just got annoyed of it that once again the compressor had been changed. At last a/c is back again at home now.
    After few more months (i.e. present) now the a/c has the same issue with it, yes its not cooling again. I have called up the customer care last week (30-Apr-2012), On 3-MAy-2012 a technician (hope so) came to home and confirmed that gas have leaked out and needs refilling. Saying so he jotted down all the necessary details in a paper and fled away. Till date no communication on this and i don't know when my a/c going to get a facelift? I actually doubt that the problem is repeating because the fault is at somewhere else. I hence request a perfect technician and/or electrician to come and inspect for the root cause. I would rather request them to take this product and replace me with a new one.
    Me and my family members are totally disappointed with this product.

    Request the court to give a fair judgement and benefit me with a payment, as a result of wasting my money invested on this product, phone calls made to customer care and other technicians to resolve the issues and waste age of time occurred to me.

    Default Samsung sells defective AC

    I got Samsung 2.0 ton AC back in April 2011. After that the list of issues is endless ...

    1) the AC stopped cooling just after 6 days. Logged a complaint and got the gas refilled.

    2) Before the end of season the AC stopped cooling again (July 2011) ... the issue this was said to be again due to gas leakage (and how that happens no one knew). Since it was still in warranty and less than 6 months since i got the AC, hence it was refilled again without any charge

    3) It was by luck that i tried to run the AC just like that some where in November 2012 ... and guess what ... this time it was cooling but changing the temp did not make any effect. Even at 16 degrees, it ran as if it was at 26-28 degrees. Now this time when the technician came, he told me a new thing. He said that 'air bubble' has got inside the gas filling somehow and hence the pressure at which the gas shud be present has reduced ... that is why the cooling was happening but not as per what it should. Solution -> refill the gas.

    The best part is the customer care, they say that if they provide service while the AC is under warranty then they take no warranty of their service (i.e. they will refill gas etc but then there is no guaranty that it will continue to work after a week also eg if ur AC warranty expires in April 2012 and u got the gas refilled again in March 2012, then there is no guaranty then u will get to enjoy AC in that season i.e gas leakage will happen till July 2012).

    Now if u pay money for the service then they take 6 months warranty i.e. if gas gets leaked out again within 6 months time then they will refill again but visiting charges will have to be paid (even with this warranty thing in place there is no peace of mind. If u get the gas refilled in April 2012 ... then warranty will cover it only till Oct 2012). And due to the nature of the issue, the gas leakage if it happens (or the air bubble that creeps in) always happen very slowly i.e. say 2-3 months from the period in which u got the AC serviced.

    So overall it means that even if u get the product repaired by paying money, then too there i no guaranty that you will get to enjoy it peacefully next year also.

    The solutions are:-

    1) BEST SOLUTION: don't buy Samsung AC
    2) Spend near 5K every year i.e. just before the start of season get the AC checked and gas refilled etc. After the repair has undertaken it will definitely work for next 2-3 months (so that season will go away peacefully)
