Sir,
I am writing this on behalf of my brother Mr. Ambarish V., Kavaluparambil House, Kudayathoor PO, Thodupuzha-685590, Kerala (Registered Owner of the vehicle).
TVS is known as a quality dealer of Mahindra cars and their products are purchased with utmost trust as their reliability and trustworthiness on road. But I have to say a different story with my experience at your services. Your service department has been unable to properly repair / inform the engine complaint of the car, that caused big troubles to me and to my family and I need your help to resolve the situation.
The car has purchased from TVS Mahindra showroom, Cochin in the year 2008. I purchased this car from the first owner, in Dec 2010, on telephonic consultation with your service engineer regarding vehicle status and that time the car was in 1 Lakh Kms extended warranty period. Before its reached 1 Lakh kms, many times I carried my car to your service center because I felt its initial pulling power is very low and may because of the engine problems. But your engineer assured me that it was in complete working order and it’s a well conditioned one. In the service records, you can find, all periodical service of the car has done at TVS Mahindra service center, Cochin.
On middle months of 2010, I dropped off my car at your service center, with a complaint like its oil low level indicator is lighten even its oil is toped up. After all check ups, your engineer confirmed everything is okay, no problems like oil leaks, engining complaints etc. Just after a couple of weeks again I had taken my car to your service center that its exhaust smoke content is too high. That time your engineers said like it was needed to clean up the exhaust gas system (sorry, I am unaware of all technical terms), did it, and inform me after running 300 kms come back and get it tuned by their engineer and it was done. Again after a week same complaint like huge smoke and I reached the service center. That time they said its exhaust gas sensor system is complaint and so that they disconnected it and informed that no problems because of disconnecting it and should get it tuned and connected again after running some time kms. As per yet again I come back for tuning it after running approx. 300 kms as they instructed. But that time they said drive the vehicle with disconnected system, because it’s damaged. After few days again I approach them that it’s pulling is very low and of huge smoke. Think, all these on working days, I took leave from work; I bring the car to the center from my home town, Thodupuzha, around 90 kms away from your service center. After a day’s inspection, your engineer proudly says like ‘it may because of oil leak and oil combustion, so it can sort out only on engine works, but no need to worry up to further 10000-15000 kms.’ It has been a source of constant anxiety, non-reliability, and un-satisfactory status for me.
After 10 days, in the way after a continuous 200 km journey with my family my car has stopped in the middle way at 11 pm night at a remote area, where no one was to help. I called your road service number and they said it’s unable to provide you a service at that place. After facing many struggles we reached home safely without my car that it’s not working at all. Because, impractical to transport the vehicle to your center without your help and you were not provided it, I called a local workshop station at Thodupuzha and they picked the car from that place in the next day and buoy it to their center. After inspecting they found all system was damaged, and the total engine system was ceased. This situation will never happen, if your engineers were inspected and repaired it properly, that any car mechanic can simply do. Now I paid Rs. 1.35 Lakh, due to your service team’s negligence, it may need to pay more, instead of paying a small amount in the beginning stage, and I am waiting to get it after repair.
And as per their inspection they clearly informed like if the vehicle was a ‘properly maintained’ at periodical services, this complaint will never happen that this was not a complaint which happened in the last 300 kms. If it was found and regularize in earlier services there was no chance for such a break down. I run this vehicle only 13000 Kms and between in that period 5 to 7 times I carried it to your service center and all times your employees said everything is okay and I paid much money. Now I am shame on your engineer’s sayings ‘we have done the best we could’ and on your service facilities that no one from your group was able to inform the complaint or them intentionally not doing it, may because the engine service in warranty period will cost you.
All these have simply damaged the reputation of your esteemed company besides providing constant worries to us, your customers. This has been a constant source of harassment, financial burden on my pocket, unreliability and insecurity rather than giving us confidence while having a car from your reputed company and supporting us with satisfactory customer service.
Your engineer’s not only caused to lost my money by improper maintenance but it was also a cheating by troubled me with false findings and information’s. I'm certainly not happy, your company's inefficient service and lack of professionalism is unacceptable to me. I expect your dealership to fix the loss caused. I anticipate an adequate compensation to be provided in consideration to the financial loss caused and to the mental agony due to the negligence and utter carelessness of your employees.
I will provide all documents and invoices from TVS to you supporting above things on request from your side. Your esteemed company is requested to take immediate action on this mail and inform us the action your office is contemplating in this regard.
