I have problems with my car since I bought it. After several complains I still
don't have proper respond from local dealer/Renault.
Most of the time the car is with technical problems and I must use rent a car .Below
I am forwarding my last e-mail to Renault.
Please advise me how I can solve this. Who can help me with this ? Is there any
international organization where I can complain ?
Can i open a case for these people? Where I can find a lawyer specialist for product
quality ?

Dear Mr.Carlos Ghosn,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a owner of Renault Clio
Hatchback Pack Minus Authentic. I bought the car during September, 2006.
I don't have a single word to express my disappointment from the poor performance of
the vehicle and the subsequent worst service that I have received from the local
dealer M/s Arabian Automobiles.
Both the performance and the service has made me to come to conclusion that I have
done a major mistake in purchasing the vehicle. I own a vehicle back in my native
place and is almost 20 years old and still delivering good performance as of today.
This fact inspired me to purchase the vehicle. I will just give you the brief
description of the various difficulties I have faced during the past couple of
years. So far, I have done 55,000km.
Since the beginning I have experienced malfunction of the car frequently. The major
complaint all these 6 times is engine overheating, starting problem and A/C system
not functional. I have taken the car with recovery to the service center every time
this happens and the car stays at the agency for at least a week each time (6 times
so far). I am attaching herewith Vehicle History Report which was made at the car's
30000km service. There are many incidents where the vehicle was within the workshop
and released after a couple of days. This was not included in the attached list as
the servicing company do not treat this as maintenance delivery. During this period,
whatever the complaints that I had was not actually recorded also.
Please note that I have purchased the vehicle and enjoy the most out of it.
Unfortunately, looking into the bad experience, I was stopped in the main streets,
suddenly the a/c stops working, the vehicle doesn't start and the engine also gets
heated without any reason. There is no fault with the radiator nor there is lack of
coolant. 1/3rd of the time the vehicle is in the workshop. I am spending money on
the recovery vehicle to take it to the work shop. I am spending money on taking a
rent a car when the vehicle is in the workshop and above all, there is a lot of pain
when I face this type of problem and embarrassing situation when the car stops
abruptly in the middle of the street. There is no satisfaction left being the owner
of a new car since the beginning.
I really do not understand what was my mistake in purchasing this car and it left
with me a world of bad experience. To the best of my knowledge, the service center
could not identify the problem. if this was identified, the same problem would not
repeat all the 6 times. I am not sure whether the problem is with the service center
or the car itself.
Finally, I have decided to sell back the car to the company. Looking into the
performance of the car, they have offered me AED 11,000/- verbally. I am astonished
to look into the depreciation of the car to 1/4 of its original price within 2 ½
years. As of today, the car is given again for repair in the workshop and not sure
when I will get it back and how long it will run also. There is uncertainty in its
performance and even the service team cannot predict its performance. Its mood is
subject to change without prior notice.
Please find attached herewith the reports that I have been provided by the company
and as stated above, it's not complete also.
You are kindly requested to look into the matter and reimburse an appropriate amount
for the "uncertain" car failing which, I have to take an appropriate legal action.
