I am working with Hyundai Motor India Limited and owning a Honda City. I
just want to bring to your notice the level of service and quality I
experienced through your dealership - RING ROAD HONDA ,PEERAGARHI
I bought the Honda city GXI model ( DL 4C AH 6411) last year in June. I
hope you can imagine the trust I had on HONDA, that in spite of working
with Hyundai I did not opt to purchase the Hyundai car where I was getting
an Employee Discount of more than 10 % ( easily around 1,50,000 on a Verna)
However, in spite of the quality claimed by your company I faced a lot of
problems and sent complaints to get them rectified, but to no avail. And it
is after a long waiting time and build-up of frustration that I chose to
write this mail.
Following is a list of issues faced in the last eleven months:
1. Problem with Speakers
Soon after I bought the car, the speakers of the music system started
producing distortion whenever the volume was increased beyond 25. I
complained about this problem to Ring Road Honda, Peeragarhi in November
'08, then again in January'09. The problem was admitted by the staff there
and I was told that the problem persisted as the speakers ( 80 watt) being
used were not compatible with the Alpine music system (installed in the
car).
Finally, I got call from them on 9th April to get the speakers changed, as
the JBL vendor had agreed to change it. I took a day off from work to get
this done. But after spending 3 hrs at Ring Road Honda I was informed that
the speakers installed in my car were of Pioneer and, therefore, JBL can't
change them ( this is really surprising that without checking the system
make they have called the customer). On realizing this, the service manager
at Ring Road Honda (Mr. Ajay Sharma) suddenly changed his view and the new
reasoning given to me was that this is the same quality being provided in
all Honda cars and sound does get distorted after a level of 25 so, for
changing the speakers now they need a special approval from Honda. Even if
they are changed, the company will not guarantee the quality, see if this
the perception and commitment they are giving to customer ,( I felt really
helpless after spending money this what I have got)
2. Polish of Gear Knob
Silver color of Gear has vanished like anything within such a short span -
the response given to this complaint was that it is a regular feature with
all Honda cars
3. 3-M Coating and cleaning of the car
3 coating was promised but only one has been done till now.
4. Paint problem - This is the case of cheating.
Attached are the picture of paint, it seems the bumper of the car is
repainted, I have other cars also and being in the car company I have get it
checked also.
5. Noise Problem
Different parts of the car making noise, such that you can't judge where the
problem is - the response to this complaint is that it is common with Honda
cars used for more than 1 year
It is really difficult to believe that a Brand, which is looked upon so much
within as well as outside the industry, serves this level of quality and
promptness. As a customer, it is depressing that the quality delivered is
not able to reach the expected level even after spending a considerable
amount of money for a "Branded" car. As a person belonging to the automobile
industry, it is surprising as I'm able to compare it with the service levels
of other players.
I would not suggest anybody to buy Honda cars simply because of the service
from the dealerships.
Request you to look into the matter and provide a solution.
