Hi,

This is regarding fraud by maruti dealer Excell Autovista, Bombay. I have
purchased Zen Estilo from this dealer, last year June 2007. During this time
period only Maruti had announced that June 2007 onwards all the mruti cars will
be equipped with safety system ICAD & incase if a customer opted for non ICAD
car then he/she would be given an additional 7-8000 Rs cash discount from the
onroad price.

When I purchased this car I had no idea about this deal & also neither any 1
from Excell Autovista bothered to inform me that I have been given a car that is
from old stock & it isnt equipped with ICAD. After making the full payment when
I found out abt this from outside I contacted my dealer for clarification.At
that time, the executive who was in touch with me for the purchase, shamelessly
told me that he simply forgot to inform & now nothing can be done about it. I
was also promised various car accessories but even that promise wasnt completed
after making the full payment. Everything was forgotten.

I followed up with dealer for 6 months when nothing happened then I filed a
complaint in Maruti agaisnt this dealer & after a follow up for 2 months when 1
fine day i called them up I was told that my case is closed as they have spoken
to the dealer & dealer have produced them an NO Objetion letter signed by me.
(18th Feb 08) Obviously the letter is been forged.

I again filed a complaint against them in Maruti & told that I have not
received any apology letter as was claimed by them & neither have I given them
any N.O. letter. since then I have been following up with Maruti but till date
I have not received a single phone call from Maruti neither any intiative from
dealer. Its 1 year now that I have taken my car & I really want to know that all
blood tall claims of excellent customer care & satisfaction is wt all matters to
Maruti is fake.

I need your advise on this. Can I go to consumer court & if yes then what all
evidences I need.

I had similar experience though not with car purchase. I wrote to times of India
and it was also printed and also wrote to CORE and they sent the letter to shop
owner but thereafter nothing happened. Neither the shop owner apologised nor my
case resolved. Everything has been swiped under carpet.
Who has time to follow it up for such a long time. The shop owners know this and
are taking advantage of sucj situation.
