Subject: URGENT & CRUCIAL : Complaint and review against extremely poor Skoda After Sales Service by SKODA INDIA HEADQUARTERS,Through Marikar motors Thiruvanathapuram

I BOUGHT MY new skoda laura on 17 July 2009 from Thiruvananthapuram,kerala india. I heard about the bad after sale service of marikar motors. But unfortunately there was no other dealer for skoda in this god own country ( kerala ). All my friends said that the dealer Marikar motors is waste . But i couldn't have an another way to buy a skoda laura. MY FATE ...
I met an accident on march 14th 2010, as per the advise of the mechanic Mr Praveen I ordered the frond bumper, bonnet, reinforcment bumper, skoda emblem with steel plate and the frond grill on 17th of march 2010. they said the availability of parts have no problem because my car is new model. ask me to wait up to 2 weeks. I parked my car in my house for two weeks with out showing anybody.
on 2nd of April 2010 I went to Marikar motors, the mechanic Mr praveen was not there,somebody said he went to ourangabad for training, and the sales manger doesn't know my problems and he doesn't know whether praveen order the parts or not . The store keeper come and check my car again, and advise me the same thing that Mr Praveen said.i again ordered for the same parts. he ask me to come on after 3 weeks.
I again put my new car in my house parking without showing the sad face of skoda laura to any one.I went again to marikar motors after those weeks. but they said it will take more one month.i was augured but i didn't shout to them because i know that they are the only dealer in kerala as monopoly handling skoda . if i do they will give me a nice work on my car , as i am not a mechanic to find their fake work. I heard they may replace parts to their useful costumers at the capital city Thiruvananthapuram .
I visited continuously but no effect yet,and i didn't receive any calls from marikar motors for informing that my order will be late., Now this is the month of July. i was waiting from the last three months , Yesterday the sales manger Mr Kabeer ask me to wait for more two weeks. i don't have any trust in those people in marikar motors Thiruvananthapram .
The problem that i found is:
1) Miss management and bad co-ordination of service manger in marikar motors Thiruvanathapuram.
2) There is no sudden checking in service section from the authorities of Marikar motors.
3) They didn't give me any papers to prove that i have ordered the parts. There is no system like that in the co.
4)They want only sales not the after sales service .( result sale is only luck )
SOLUTIONS:
1) Remove the sleeping service manger from marikar motors Thiruvanthapuram.
2)Add some systematic operations for service co-ordination .
3)provide telephone to the service section to call their costumers .
4)Ask them to loose their muscles to their costumers.
5)Provide some other competitor (DEALER) in kerala state.
6)Cut the dealership from Marikar motors.(not at all possible)
I AM WAITING , MY NEW CAR WORTH RS 16 lack IS ALSO WAITING WITH ME IN THE PARKING.

i agree to the above complaint regarding marikar about their poor after sale service and non availability of spares. i own a octavia and face the same porblems. i dont want to disclose my name as they are monopoly of scoda and i khow what they can do.
I STONGLY SUGGEST FOR A NEW SCODA DISTRIBUTOR IN KERALA FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVES SCODA..

I purchased a Skoda Fabia in May 2010 and I faced series of problems with this vehicle and with Skoda dealer (Arshia Motors)in Delhi. It is requested to guide me so that I can set an example for harassing me and what is the result for not giving proper service even after paying whole amount to them.

I faced following problems.

1. faced wheel alignment problem after few days of purchase.
Action by Skoda: A call and ONLY assurance that someone will come and do the needful. No one turned till date.

2. Not received RC and any valid paper from RTO till date.
Action by SKODA: Assurance of providing papers every time, whenever I do visit or call. No initiative from Skoda side.

3. Had a talk on 9717698126, person didn't responded in desired manner, when I reached to showroom they said this mobile is not with us. I purchased this vehicle through this no. only. Call details may be checked.

4. Its front power window is not working, Skoda says we will do servicing after one year.

Now there are checkpoints at every juncture in Delhi in view of CWG 2010 , How I can run my vehicle without papers.

It is requested to guide me in this regard.

i ve hd terrible exp wth marikar motors, sole dealers of skoda in kochi- kerala.
u may do well if u can buy from anyother agnt
with all jap cars flooding, addng vw too in same league, wth the type of aftr sales svc and communication from skoda in to their customrs/ directly and thru agnts on genuine complaints, i bet skoda may hve to shud shop soon.

the new genration hs no patience to this non-sense from skoda wch unfortuntly is one of those old checz co.s still mainting the sam reputation of terrible svc.

wish u guys ovrluk skoda atleast in kochi, then i think ive done my bit

I AM ALSO GETTING THE SAME BITTER EXPERIENCE FROM SKODA, Mr. BEN, COO IS THE MAIN PERSON BEHIND THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITIES.

behaviour of coo of marikkar engineers towards the cusotmers is not at all satisfactory. Management should change such staff immediately.

Hi all,
It's been a sad and scary experience reading your comments regarding your after sales woes. However, my experience with Skoda servicing for the last three years in Kerala has been satisfactory; except for twice when I had to wait for some spare parts for about three weeks.

I have availed the services of marikar skoda in both Cochin and Trivandrum for my Octavia; and am glad to put forth here that they have always been prompt and courteous; while I have not had any complaints for the repairs done by Marikar Mechanics. Yes, I repeat, a couple of times, I had to wait a bit long to get the spares.

One of you have mentioned the COO, Mr Ben and accused him of being responsible for the mismanagement. I think you must have followed a wrong track to get your work done, as there is an established escalation matrix with the Dealer. It was the COO who called up Skoda Company and helped me to get my headlight assembly which was delayed for three weeks.

This is only my personal opinion, and I am fully satisfied with the services rendered by Marikar Skoda.

I own three skoda cars in my family. One octovia and two lauras.
Never faced any problems with the dealer Marikar.
I too experienced delay in getting spares. what I understand it is a common among all skoda dealers in india.
Other than non availability of parts , the team in service is very helpful.

For anyone looking to get a very detailed set of experiences with Marikar Skoda and also Skoda India, you can write me at zarcorp@hotmail.com. We own 2 Skodas, an Octavia and a Superb. I can tell you without any doubt that buying any model Skoda from Marikar will be a very poor choice. First of all, you have to go back to the root of the problems, which is with Skoda India itself. After starting out well in India and providing good quality cars, they now have poorly trained monkeys in their factories making the cars. To add to the problem, the service technicians at their dealerships are even lesser trained monkeys. And finally to make things even worse, it would seem like Marikar Skoda seems to hire the least trained monkeys of them all. The attitude of the management at Marikar, at all levels, i.e. executive level, mid and lower levels is extremely poor and arrogant. After many years of being the only game in town, they have still not woken up to the fact that there are now many other options like Volkswagen, etc. available. This is a problem with both Skoda and their over-confident dealers who will lose more business if they don't wake up a smell the coffee. In the case of Marikar, the executive management is still operating under the illusion of their Hindustan Motor days, when you as the consumer had to take crap and thank the HM people and kiss the feet of Marikar as well. The Marikar people would be better off learning that their days of a free lunch are over and it is a guaranteed fact they will lose major business in the coming years if they don't change their attitude. If anyone is considering buying a Skoda, I strongly recommend you write to me at zarcorp@hotmail.com to get detailed horror stories that will convince you to not go anywhere near Skoda and particularly near Marikar Skoda. I was truly sad to see that they have now taken up a Nissan dealership. After the disgraceful performance with Mitsubishi and Skoda, they have yet another car company for whom they can help destroy their reputation.

On 22/10/2011 I have booked unicorn cb(Black).On 3rd week of february 2012 they instructed to remit full amount and told that vehicle will be delivered with in 15 days of remitting cash.On 29/02/2012 I've paid Rs 69,000/-(adv Rs 1000/-+Rs 69,000/-=Total Rs 70,000/-. Vehicle value Rs 69,886/-inclusive of all tax,insurance etc).On 2nd week of march 2012, twice I visited the show room.Both the days they told the vehicle load came , the vehicle would be supplied either on 10/03/2012 or 12/03/2012 after unloading and registration.But unfortunately they sold vehicle to somebody else.On 3rd week of march 2012 I again visted the show room and they told that there is no vehicle available now.I think this is a misappropiation of vehicle after accepting money or using my money for their business purpose,I want justice.I have total loss of approximately Rs 4,000/-(Interest Rs 1000/-(approx) & using four wheeler Rs 3,000/-(approx)).On 21/03/2012 I have lodged a complaint in their complaint register.Today also I went there.But they are least bothered about it.So many times I telephoned and asked to connect to sales manager.But they are telling every time that the manager is not in the seat and told that they will telephone me.But they never called me.I want justice.I want the compensation and immediate delivery of vehicle.Due to budget there is a chance to increase vehicle price after 31/03/2012.If any increase happens the company should be responsible for that.Today I told this thing to sales manager.He agreed to it.

please do the necessary action against this unfairness towards me.
