THEFT/PILFERAGE OF GOOD WORKING SPAREPARTS OR UNAUTHORISED DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP BY CHENNA FORD, ARUMBAKKAM, CHENNAI at the time of Preventive Maintenance Service
As intimated by Chennai-Ford, Arumbakkam Chennai though their Post Card, I had given my Ford Fiesta Car TN 10 S 5843 Car for Routine Preventive Maintenance Service on 28-1-2010 at about 11: 30 AM. They inspected the vehicle and informed me that the vehicle will be ready after service only tomarrow 29-1-2010 by 4 PM. I agreed and left the car in their Service Centre at Arumbakkam,Chennai after necessary formalities of getting my Job Card completed.
On 29-1-2010 at around 2 PM, I got a call from one of the Service Centre Personnel stating that my Car's Driver-side Glass window is not working and its Regulator Motor is faulty and it need replacement and will cost a additional Rs: 1700/- I was totally surprised to get this message. When I gave my car for service, there was absolutely no problem with my Automatic Car Windows. All of them were working perfectly well. Also, I am particularly 100% sure of this Driver Side Glass Window, because it is opened and closed for payment of Parking Fees to the Parking Attendents.It was working perfectly well,without any noise or any slightest problem.
When,I reached the Chennai Ford Service Centre at Arumbakkam, Chennai at 5 PM on 29-1-2010, I was suprised and dejected to notice my Driver Side Glass Window in half-open and unoperable condition. I immediately protested this condition to the Service Co-ordinator and gave a written complaint to the Service Manager. The agreed that the problem happened in their Workshop but I need to pay for repairing it. I again protested and informed them, that I had no problem with my Driver-side Automatic Glass Window , when I gave for PPM Service and the problem was either Theft/Pilferage of Good Spare Parts or Unauthorised Workmanship done by the Service Department of Chennai Ford.
Since,it was getting late evening, I reluctantly took custody of my vehicle with this defective Driver-side Glass Window. Again, the Chennai Ford Service Staff took the vehicle inside and got the Glass Window partially closed, inspite of me protesting not to touch or do anything on my vehicle. I had clearly mentioned this defectivetheft/pilferage or Defective Unauthorised work in the Job Card and Gate Pass I signed before taking custody of my vehicle. Now I am unable to lock the Car Safely since the Wimdow is not perfectly closed and is in unoperable condition
I wished to lodge a complaint with the Consumer Court for the Theft/Pilferage of Good Spare Parts or Unauthorised Workmanship carried on my Ford Fiesta Car by Chennai Ford, Arumbakkam, Chennai. I request immediate rectification of this problem to my satisfaction.
