    HI,

    I WAS using the Airtel broadband service. When I moved house, I had raised a request with customer care for transfer (Sept 26 2011) and my connection was promptly discontinued as per procedures. I waited 20 days, followed up many time, but there was no action in spite of the numerous assurances that i got. Finally on 18th Oct, as I need to get on with my routine, I cancelled the connection and got a new connection from BSNL. Surprisingly that was quick (for PSU standards) and I had a new connection the next day. I paid my outstanding dues (including the period when I didnt have a connection) and was expecting that to be the end of it.
    I got a call on 20th Oct from the "Retention Team" by a lady, who was in such a hurry (probably was in a hurry to use the green house of easement). I explained to her that i do not wish to continue the connection as i now have a new connection. She thanked and disconnection.
    The next month, to my surprise, I have a new bill from Airtel, AT MY NEW ADDRESS. So atleast someone did his/her work promptly and updated my address. Being a good citizen, I called the customer center to appraise them of the mistake and to reduce the amount under liability in their books. I got passed around, was put of hold till i memorized the Airtel tune and finally landed on the escalation desk.
    The guy informed me and i quote "the "SYSTEM" says I want to continue the connection". I explained that its a huge mistake, told him to long story and expected him to understand that the mistake was made by the lady at the "retention center". Again I quote "The SYSTEM does not lie". So i asked, are you saying that i am lying. He remembered his basic etiquette training and ignored the question. Stand off and no progress.
    I decided that maybe calling and speaking is not the best way to communicate, as emotions of someone calling you a liar can get the better of you and therefore sent a mail to the tribunal on 28th Nov, no response (i am ignoring the acknowledgement as a response with ref number 7959540) again on 6th Dec, no response and finally again today. I am expecting only the acknowledgement. A new inkling prompted me to try the latest and third medium THE INTERNET, where everythings available so I am check if some help is also available here

    Default Fraund against broad connection

    Hi,

    I applied for broad connection with airtel with an advance of one month rental of 800 rs plan. Its been 15 days and yet the connection is not installed in my home. I have been calling customer care from a week and there is no proper response from them and they only give me the service request numbers. Here are the service request numbers : 8752030 which has to be resolved by 14th december which is not resoloved yet.

    After calling again i receive one more service request number 8859592 which will be resolving by 19th of december.

    I am not expecting the service request numbers from your side. I am really frustrated about all this things and would like to proceed legally.

    Unhappy late my connection

    Dear Sir,


    I have applied for Wi Fi Broad Band connection vide application no. CEF No. 137617 on 02/12/2011. A .M CASH for Rs. 500/- given by me as application/ installation charges, has since been honoured.

    But I am pained to write that till date I have not provided with the said connection.

    You are requested to install the connection, as applied by immediately, otherwise I have no option other than to approach the Consumer Forum or competent court.

    It has been more than a week that we raised complaint of both telephone and broadband not working and still noone from airtel has even cared to visit.

    And the joke from airtel is they simply close the problem with NO RESOLUTION and Noone coming to my premise.
    I would like to know when no technician has visited the place how did the ticket got closed with any XYZ reason?

    First time they simply mentioned - internal wiring problem ( which is not true)

    Then on 16th dec friday, I escalated and spoke to floor manger over call. she re-opened the ticket and mentioned there is some problem with DP and committed to solve it by monday 19th dec

    on 20th dec, when i again called up, i was again told ticket is closed because resolution is done. Irony is that my BB and phone are still not working


    I think airtel is doing a joke and not a running business and simply fooling customer.
    Noone visits from airtel and they simply close the ticket.

    I am seriously thinking to file complaint in consumer forum because this delay has caused lot of inconvinience to me and airtel kept on telling me lies and they are still charging me for services

    Mr Sunil Mittal- Can you please focus and improve services for your indian customers and not fool them by closing complaint calls without even providing a resoltion and that too after so called escalations in your company.

    I WOULD SAY AIRTEL SERVICES ARE REALLY BECOMING PATHETIC.

    I had requested a new Airtel Broadband line for me and given my mobile number 8800368811 for further communication. CEF number is 2946211. Within a day a person from Airtel came and collected the required fees(in cash) and documents from me. Airtel was not able to install a connection at my premises. Then I requested for a refund. I called the broadband customer care every day regarding the status as Airtel dosent have time to tell there customer anything. Airtel customer care fooled me for one month and then now when I called them today they said my payment is not reflecting in there system. They are asking me to contact that agent who had collected the money. If they had asked me this thing a month back I could have get hold of that person but now after one and half month where I will find that agent. Is it my fault that my payment is not there in there system. Airtel customer care is there to fool customers only. Even the supervisors there are got for nothing. Wvwn I had sent may emails to there customer, nodal officer and appellate email address. But never even got a acknowledgement so getting a reply is far away. I would request everybody out there to stay away from Airtel Broadband they are there to fool you. They will take you hard earned money.

    After that a person came and took the docusments. After this it has been almost two weeks with no update

    Person who told the document: santosh mobile no 9810892735.This person is now not picking the number


    I have paid RS 500 in advance online and still have not heard anything.
    Please give me the connection/or refund the money

    My line is dead from nearly 1 months & am complaining daily for it but still there is no response from your support/Technical Department. Which is Not acceptable from my side as this issue is being carried on from that past one month.

    Angry Being billed 4 months after closing the connection

    Hi,

    I used to have a Airtel broadband connection with number 01244074794 and customer id: 16114329. I gave in a request for cancellation of this connection on 21/09/2011 with request number 4428136. But still I am being charged ridiculously every month for Rs 386.05. I called in customer care to settle this and it has happened again. In my airtel profile(when I login into the airtel website), I still see the telephone and the DSL connection as active. I paid all my dues and I am still being billed.

    Default repayment of advance amount of cancellation

    Hi,

    On 5th Aug 2011, Koshi from Airtel broadband called me for an Airtel broadband connection and on the same day he came to me for providing me an Airtel broadband connection with in 7 days. He filled an Airtel form for me and he took Rs.1000/- as an advance payment.

    After a week they refused me to provide the connection due to some technical issue with the area where i am located, I said "If you can not provide me the connection, that is ok but at least return my money as soon as possible.

    On 22-08-2011 i called the customer care raising the reference no. 2695572.

    On 08-12-2011 i called the customer care raising another request no. 8484828

    On 16-12-2011 i called the customer care raising the same issue for the repayment (executive named Nethra) -

    they are simply placing me on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnecting my call.


    I have been to the Airtel customer care office more than 6 times till now and met the person Ms. Ramya (9902347055) atlast she gave me the cheque no. 117037 and POD no. 7722142142 and it has been sent thru "overnight couriers". but when i called with the overnight courier there is no such pod no.

    What happened to my money for the past 5 months. if i take a connection and if i say i will pay the bill after 5 months. would you accept it.

    Default Wrong Billing by Airtel every month Not solved yet

    My telephone land line is 044 - 43156060 (Customer ID 10616983)

    My approximate land line billing amount per month is Rs. 660/- (Plan Rs. 600 + ST 60)
    But Airtel is charging around Rs. 7,000 every month (Wrong billing)

    Every month I have to make phone call to Airtel Customer care services to reverse the charges which is excess billed to me

    This month the issue got worst

    1st Scenario - The issue got solved by 22nd December 2011 (excess amount reversed) and the next day, Airtel outgoing services have been barred for non-payment. I made the payment next day & we got the outgoing services

    2nd Scenario - Today (04.01.2011) the even after we made the payment, the line got disconnected. When we called up Customer support, without any information provided to me, they said SORRY and they gave the connection

    Also this month again the bill generated wrongly in way of excess amount of Rs. 7042/- (Actual it should be Rs. 660)

    I am really getting frustrated in Airtel Landline services offered to me.

    What shall I do now?

    What will be your answer?

    Angry Non resolution of complaints ....

    Airtel Broadband services is proving to be one theworst broadband services from Airtel Team. This forces me to rethinkabout their commitment to resolving customer problems. This leads to re-evaluatecontinuing relationship with Airtel (eventhough we have corporate tie-up withAccenture).

    I took a new connection on 10th December 2011. Though the connectivity speed was lesser (1.2 Mbps as against 4Mbps plan), the sales staff wrongly advised that the issue would be solved and misled me into having the connection. Post that, they never sent any support staff or engineer to relove connectivity issues. I have made five calls with respect to connectivity issus (below mentioned detaiIs of complaints).

    Complaint number : 9851218– 5th Jan 2012 - Speed of broadband…….no one hasresponded to it as of now

    Complaint number : 9773526- 3rd Jan 2012 – speed of broadband ( The issue has not yet beenresolved, though engineers have promised to visit and solve the issue. Thistime Mr. Praveen Sharma was to come but has not come so far.)
    Complaint number : 8932610- 17th Dec 2011 –(Speed of Broadband) Though no one had made visit,the resolution sheet says that some Mr. Murari had visited client premises torepair. This is another case of wrong reporting and non-service

    Appeal to Retention department – I had also requestedRetention department to discontinue the services….but even they have notresponded.

    Complaint number : 8687200 - 12th Dec 2011 –(dial tone in my phone /Speed) – not resolved

    Complaint number : 8602568 - 10th Dec 2011 – (speed of Braodband) – not resolved

    These all instances are indication that Airtel is not serious about resolving Customer issues…despiterepeated requests from clients. I would be request all to be sure of what Airtel guys sell. The only way left for me is to put the issue topublication or going to Consumer forum.

    I had requested some senior to have a look at case…and process andearly resolution, but no one responded.

    Please suggest a way forward.

    Default AirTel Broadband Chennai - Refunding the amount

    I applied a new connection for broadband for my home and I paid the amount. After that I got information that it’s not possible to give a connection due to the technical feasibility. So I applied for the refund of my amount on 10-Dec-2011. My complaint number 8550654. AS of now there are lot of conversations happened. But AirTel is not refunding my amount. So please take the necessary action to refund my amount.

    Default Unlocking of Iphone locked with Airtel

    Dear Concerned,

    I have an I-PHONE which is locked with Airtel. I have been using Airtel services since past two years.
    However, according to the contract by Airtel, after 12 months of the contract period
    we can officially unlock the i-phone just by contacting Airtel offices.

    I request you to please unlock my i-phone as soon as possible.

    im mahesh bhoopathy.my mobile no is 9840320311.im using this number for the past 7 to 8 yearsim not using the number for the past 5 monthsthe reason of out of station.and a week before i reacheached chennai.my number as been deactivated.im interested in reactivate the number.in this situation one of ur executive called to my wife's cell no using unwanted words.i made a call to that person he is treating to my words.in this case he is using my datas to what nos whish i called and telling that im not in a position to make the payments so tell him to make payments or else ill take legal actions.in this case im very tenced and spoiled my business and life.kindly take neccesary action or else ill make a complaint to the local police station and TRAI.
